For you people??? What are you suggesting?

Proven strikers usually have 20+ goals records when going to big clubs...

To be quite honest, I don't know why Torres is considered such a great striker. He never scored more than 20 league goals in a given season for Atletico de Madrid.. He is excellent at doing other things a la Adebayor: holding the ball up, working for the team, and scoring ever 2-3 games.

To be frank why is there this 20+ goal striker category?

There is only a select few who are in that class consistently:

Thierry Henry, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Samuel Eto'o, Francesco Totti.

I'm trying to think of others who had a great three seasons in the past couple of years. Maybe Forlan, Huntelaar, and Ronaldinho...

Those are the names that spring up to mind. I'm forgetting a lot of players because I'm writing this in a rush, but I'm not saying Adebayor isn't good. He scores goals, but he isn't an Henry, Van Nistelrooy, Eto'o, or a Totti. Those players are also unique in their own ways as well.

Therefore I'm merely suggesting that he fights for the team, scores goals every so often, and gets the assist which is fine by me.
