It's getting hot and heavy in North Carolina...

Maryland ties it up in the 64th minute on a goal by Jason Garey, with assist by Chris Lancos.

UNC goes up again in the 65th minute on a goal by Corey Ashe.

Then UNC's Marcus Storey comes right back and hits the crossbar in the 66th minute.

2-1 to Tar Heels in the 68th minute.

Must be a fun game to watch...

Maryland ties it up in the 70th minute on a goal by Chris Lancos, assisted by Kenny Bertz (long throw in)

    2-2 in the 71st minute.

    Holy cripes!

Maryland goes ahead in the 72nd on goal by Rocco Mediate and another assist by Chris Lancos (1 goal and 2 assists this game).

3-2 to the Terps in the 74th minute.

By my count that's four goals in about 10 minutes with Storey also hitting the crossbar.

Anyway, still 3-2 in the 77th

    Yellow cards
    UNC: Jamie Watson

    MD: Ian Rodway, Chris Lancos

(Note: these have all occurred during the scoring spurt but are not interrelated)

Looks like the Terps will go to the ACC final for the third straight year as Jason Garey gives Maryland a two-goal advantage with 10 minutes remaining.

Assist by (who else?) Chris Lancos.

    Goal in 81st minute.

    4-2 to the Terps.

    It's a final:

    4-2. Terps advance.

Hopefully someone on the boards was at the game and can give a report.

    Cheers.

Garey household must be happy today. Jason Garey's sister Melissa scores for Texas A&M last night and he scores today. I wonder if they have a parent at each tournament.
