Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news Am I missing something, or has the NASL website stopped reporting anything related to AC? I see the standings, showing we have 2 in the win column, but nothing on the match.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news This situation happened a few times in Montreal , like many teams in NA . What Saputo did in 2001 was to create a non profit organization with local governement and soccer associasions . I wish you someone competent enough that believe in soccer and a partnership with a big local sponsor !
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news You whined to me personally that you were pissed Cooper wouldn't hire you then went on insulting his sales staff. I literally know not a single soul who listens to your nonsense so why you persist on posting is beyond me. Go sell some sweet merch for the dumbest name in the history of soccer out of that sweet minor league baseball stadium and quit annoying people.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news Wow someone is jealous there won't be pro soccer team in St. Louis after this season. You call this minor league?? http://www.kcwizards.com/image/2010/06/construction-061410
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news You mean we get to finish the season now? Your stance is softening!!
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news Finishing this season was never in doubt.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news That's not what you said before. I have a pretty strong memory.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news Yes, that's what it is. I'm jealous The Grand Wizards of Oz play in a baseball field.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news Yes, being the dog of MLS from day one isn't really something to be jealous of.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news Neither is a league that was formed out of spite (by a disgruntled potential buyer of the USL, whose team is now in danger of folding, and two of the former league's bottom feeders, one of whom has yet to play a game (and may not ever), and the other, who couldn't draw ants to a picnic), and was forced by US Soccer into a compromise with the USL, because it evidently wasn't stable enough to go it alone. Just sayin'.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news Ah, but I'm not trolling other cities' forums claiming they're jealous of me.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news can we quit with the pissing contests? Hopefully AC will be around long enough for us to settle it on the pitch in a US Open Cup game or something. Other than that, who cares? Good luck to whatever team you support.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news Oh shut up. You've been the biggest instigator of numerous counts of bullshit since day one.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news So any new news on Cooper or anyone's quest to keep AC St Louis afloat? Are they merely existing now off the performance bond and the USSF?
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news No. No. Yes...in the order of questions. I thought we'd at least see some sort of follow-up story in the STL Post Dispatch on the situation. Cooper has yet to make any statement about AC on what the deal is. He made a brief statement when Athletica folded, but other than that, he's been very quiet.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news I wouldn't expect any statement from Cooper or the team until either, A. a deal is done and Cooper has majority interest or another majority investor. or B. the team folds. When someone is trying to broker a deal for any company its usually part of the process to have a non-disclosure agreement. If not specifically legally prohibited its at least stupid to conduct negotiations in public. I don't know why its so hard to understand why Cooper isn't making a public statement. I realize that all of us want to know what is going on, but no news in this case is good news. I would imagine that Cooper is working with the Vaid's to get some sort of legal resolution to the problem.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news Coach Claude has a nice little brother named Nicolas who had some not so nice words for his MNT coach. Or, how do we understand ''vas te faire enculer, fils de pute''?
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news To be honest, I am surprised Anelka is still coaching the team. I would have thought he was one of the first casualties. Maybe he is a investor/part-owner now. And his brother seems to have some free time on his hands now.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news Maybe what we should be doing is writing to Nicolas to see if he could forward a check to the STL. We'll name the club AC St. Louis Hates Domenech Too if he would...
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news Well, I guess that if Michael Bradley can his save his dad, Nicolas Anelka can save his brother. Good Idea.
Re: AC St. Louis Scrambling to Save Team and other related news HEY!!!! Looks like there's a feast of crow prepared for quite a few here... AC St. Louis will be just fine. Thank you, Battra. http://www.insidemnsoccer.com/2010/...ation-stabilized-with-money-from-jeff-cooper/
