Well they lost the Coppa Italia final which qualified them for the Supercoppa which they didn't win, thereby winning them the Supercoppa Trophy.
I'm well aware, I just wanted him to say the supercoppa was being counted as a trophy now so I could laugh at him.
i'm not stupid. obviously this wasn't the way they wanted the season to go when they were planning in july. however, they made lemonade from the lemons they had. when they saw that winning the EL was the best chance they had at getting into the CL, they prioritized that competition over the premier league. that's what i'm saying milan ought to do with the EL next season if we qualify. if we get to the holidays, and we're out of the running for CL spots, maybe it makes sense to focus on winning the EL to qualify for the CL for 18/19.
with today's win we clinched our spot in the europa league for next season. that complicates the summer schedule. we will enter the EL at the 3rd qualifying round with matches july 27 and august 3. we were scheduled to play in the international champions cup in china on july 18 (borussia dortmund), july 22 (bayern munich), and july 24 (inter). i'd imagine the ICC match against inter gets moved so we have time to get home and rest before the first leg of the EL tie, but who knows?
Hopefully not. Meaning hopefully not for us, but on the flip side it's great thing thats happening to them.
And the only people who are surprised are their inbred supporters. Brand new ownership, same old merda: 3 managers in a single season and 100m+ euros wasted on shite all while Yuto Nagatomo is still their starting fullback. Chinese billionaires or not, how is this any different than what Moratti did 95% of the time? But yeah, it was a conspiracy of Luciano Moggi and Adriano Galliani that kept them down and stole their titles for 40 years. Surely, you guys couldn't do any worse than they did this season, even if you tried (... please don't make me regret these words).
I wish I had say in it. I'd stop buying these ultimately useless stopgap players for one, like MontLOLivo Inter is Inter, they make me chuckle. They're like the young dumb cousin that exist in every family, who's always the "life" of the party, for reasons other than what they think Moratti ultimately lost control of his team and was forced to sell because of all the spending, in the team and outside of it, pre 2010 CL title. Hope it was worth it for him, lol. Milan is where it is because Berlusconi lost interest. If these Chinese suck, I will stop watching them permanently. The team(s) that made me fall in love with the club are long gone. That said, Serie A really does need the Milanese clubs to get stronger. It's not like Roma and Napoli are going to do anything anytime soon. They had their chance, upwards and onwards!
It's been so long since my club didn't make Europe (though it's definitely worth it to get rid of Sousa) that I'm really at a loss. I was wondering if maybe some ACM fans could share some pointers, as this is really old hat for you, on what to expect... What's it like, mindset-wise, going into a season without Europe?
As soon as I saw those pictures of Milan players celebrating finishing 6th, I knew the first person you'd want posting in your sub-forum would be me. I know when I'm missed.
i don't know what you do for a living, but i expected to make more money on certain tuesday, wednesday, and/or thursday afternoons.
A little more calming. Never know if you're going to draw a Viktoria Plzen, or Genk, or some other Europa warlord. BTW, that's a messed up Avatar bruh...
Well, somebody has to finish first. Roma and Napoli wouldn't know how to win even if it came and introduced itself. And I don't what Silvio and Galliani were doing for the past 5 years. And merda is merda; that club hasn't been able to rebuild a winning team in over 100 years, so there's really no point in even including them in the conversation. So that leaves us. If you lot would stop being useless we wouldn't be on a such a silly run of titles... or at least it wouldn't have been as "easy" as it's been.
