See, I've been saying for almost a decade now that savers were going to get screwed. I am such a complete sucker. The Fable of the Ant and the Grasshopper Once upon a time there was an ant and a grasshopper. The ant spent the summer gathering up food and storing it in his underground lair (as he liked to call his mother's house basement). The grasshopper instead partied all summer and maxed out his credit card. When winter came, the farmer sprayed the field and they both died. The end.
This is the depressing part of the election. Both candidates making promises for more benefits to continue. It's time to resurrect the balanced budget amendment - including all entitlement programs.
