Love the goals ... not so sure about the lack of draws though ... No draws means there's a higher chance that more teams are already eliminated or qualified by the 3rd match day which might mean less drama than in a tight group with lots of draws where everyone has a chance in the end.

well, I have nothing against draws (even 0-0), IF they are in well played matches with attacking teams and plenty of drama and good football.

but it´s good to see all these goals.

btw, this thread was created yesterday. Today: Germany 4-0 Portugal. Goal average raised a bit.

Both these teams look like they could play another four hours and not score. They should both be sent home straight away after this.

Thanks Iran and Nigeria for ending the record of a World Cup without ties nor 0-0s!

They both wanted to avoid being the worst team in this WC, so they agreed before the match was played to not harm each other and both went for 1 point, so now they can lose both next games and still go home with something.

I was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately it won't be the only 0-0 game of this Cup. The flip side is there are still some one sided games left to be played -at least on paper- that will help the goal average, although they aren't as entertaining to watch.

I didn't watch this match but it seemed to have draw written all over it. Queiroz is who he is and the Super Eagles have the bite of a newborn baby.

Nobody since the first was Iran vs. Nigeria which was entirely predictable.

I am glad Iran has been able to help make this a very entertaining World Cup;).

Seriously, though, I think our next games will be a lot more interesting and the Iran v Bosnia game will be a dandy. Don't miss it.
