Re: Last Day For Supporter Tickets!!!!!!! Uh-huh... maybe for the tailgate, but I suspect he'll be down on the field again with a special VIP pass, such as was the case in Mexico, and as seen below in Salt Lake City: The Magpie
I'm about to go buy a flag, can anyone suggest a good size for personal use, 3'x5', 4'x6', or 5'x8'? I was thinking 3x5.
Depends on what you plan on using it for - if you just want hold and wave it, then I'd go no bigger than 3 x 5 lest you piss everyone around you off. If you want to hang it up, then any size is fine.
3X5 then, bigger gets unruly - 4x6 is doable, but only if you're over 6 foot - otherwise, you won't have the wingspan.
I had a message on my machine from the USSF. Earlier in the week I had called to increase the number of tickets ordered. They finally called back and said they would process the order but my credit card would not be charged until next week. They said they are VERY busy and would be heading to LA today to work the USWNT-Iceland game on Sunday. I can't recall the USMNT and the USWNT playing on the same day in the past, so they must be stretched a bit thin. So don't be too worried if your credit card has not yet been charged.
I'm bringing a 3x5 too, but I'm not hanging it up cuz you know, that's how flags disappear after the game unfortunately. Anyone looking to carpool from Northern VA? Just checked Maquest and it's about an 8 hour drive, which isn't bad at all.
I looked on ussoccer.com and it says there that tix for US-Mex don't go on sale until 8/2. What am I missing?
My God, man, the second of THREE pre-sales ends in 42 minutes. The third pre-sale starts next week. THEN the rest go on sale to the public. Where have you been????????
The fact that these are Sam's Army tickets, which are seperate from the Crew pre-sale, the US Soccer pre-sale, and the Ticketmaster general public sale.
Flagpoles will not be permitted inside the stadium once the gates open. By smoke do you mean bombs?? The north end actually has a 'smoke machine' underneath it.
Exactly. Smoke bombs, flares, etc. are not tolerated under any circumstances. Security and city police will come in numbers, and their unhappiness will be guaranteed. If anyone thinks that the presence of fire in close proximity to 1500 other people is necessary to enjoy a soccer game, they are competely wrong. It's too dangerous and too much of a risk. Especially if you've been drinking for the past 4 1/2 hours. There is a smoke machine located near the bottom center of section 137. Hopefully it will be used during the game. As for smoking, it is not allowed in the stands, but I believe it is allowed most everywhere else.
Thanks for the answers. I figured smoke bombs would be a no-go but they seem to be OK (or at least tolerated) in DC and Chicago, so I figure it didn't hurt to ask.
I bought a Columbus Crew & WCQ package, the charge for both games hit Monday and I have my Voucher Tickets for the Crew game so the WCQ tickets can't be too far behind!!!!!
if we sent checks via snail mail when can we expect tickets or confirmation that our order was received?
