When I read the part about Landon's experience in Leverkusen, it sounded so damn familiar to me.
From the SF Chron: You can't really put a price on that attitude. It's not enough to have a guy who's a great talent on the field - he also has to be effective off the field. We need that player to also be comfortable being in the spotlight. That player needs to enjoy promoting the game. LD's mentioned in other interviews how he understands the role that Gretzky played in promoting hockey and the NHL. He may eventually head back to Europe, but we really need someone wants to be the poster boy.
