I think Davies almost scored but I'm not sure

    looks like Charlie is involved...

    77'

Translation: Davis once again shows off his speed. He has a go but it's off the keeper's hands. The corner kick results in nothing.

Charlie making a difference! GO CHARLIE!

Charlie Davies was two fingers to score his first goal in Ligue 1. On a good service Maurice Belay, a U.S. attack fixed Grichting before hitting into the goal. His attempt is affected by Sorin, running the ball ends right next to the amount of cage Auxerroise.

Sorry I'm in the wrong thread to complain about playing time...

Is it just me or do they show everything but the Sochaux game on that multiplex thing? I guess if they scored a goal they'd switch to it.

Seems so, they show PSG, Lyon, Marseille and just enough Rennes to see Bocanegra congratulating someone.

Anyone else feel like most coaches of MNT players seem to be resting them, as if they know they have a big game in 5 days?

No, that's Olivier Sorin. Auxerre goalkeeper

Juan Pablo Sorin is actually in Brazil, at Cruzeiro. His career's almost over, though. Must be.

Makes sense, no? You just listed the most popular French teams.

It's like if there's was an American baseball show, they'd spend an inordinate amount of time talking about the Yankees, Red Sox, Cardinals, blah, blah, blah..........

Those simulcasts always piss me off because they seem to only show the games that already have dedicated streams. They'll switch over if there's a goal or incident but other than that they stick with the big teams.

He just retired a week or two ago.

A game between Sochaux and Auxerre is never going to get much attention, except perhaps if they're fighting for 17th place in the last couple weeks. But all the matches are accessible in France, so if some Sochaux fan has foot+ (think NBA league pass, or something) and decides to stream their games, you could be in luck. But, yea, you're far more likely to come across streams of the well supported clubs (OM, PSG, Lyon, Saint Etienne, Lens, and Bordeaux, especially the first 3).

I was just sniffing around the Sochaux forums and they said that Charlie didnt start because of muscle spasms that prevented him from training

"Gillot a déclarer que Davies avait eu une contracture cette semaine, et n'a donc pas pu s'entrainer correctement."

You think Sochaux cares one iota about the USMNT game against Mexico?

    Not a chance.

Davies had back spasms, so he didn't start. That's the logical answer.

No, they may not care about the US game, but they care about their new signing getting overworked in a short int'l week.

The muscle spasms is the answer, but it wouldn't have been foolish if the coach said he was looking forward to next weekend and didn't want to overwork Davies in his first week in the league.
