Anson's analysis of this was, umm, entertaining. He described little insects bouncing off of Abby and encouraged them to eat cheeseburgers.
I have a solution to players boucing off of Abby. Maybe they should move out of the damn way, then we wouldn't have this falling epidemic. So steps include: 1. See her coming. 2. Process the fact that she's 8 feet tall and her leg is bigger than you are. 3. Move!
Anson was cracking me up the whole game. My favorite quote was when he was talking about Venus James shadowing Mia. "She says she's not really worried about marking Mia because she goes up against the best players in the world at practice everyday......I admire her spunk." LMAO.
He gets annoying but sometimes it's funny. You gotta love how he calls Staci Wilson and Mia "kids." Yeah Mia is thirty.
Well that cracked me up. Anson is such a goof. Anyone else have any humorous Anson sayings from the game?
Usually Anson annoys me with his comments. However during the Founders Cup I found him pretty funny. I loved his comment that the players bouncing off Abby should eat some cheeseburgers. I also enjoyed his comment about Venus James having spunk.

LOL. Look at the people behind Mia in that pic of her celebration. That is absolutely great. Oh, and Venus James looked pretty worried to me.

LOL, he said it again when Mia ran into her. "The gift of fury. Ouch. And what I love is neither one of those kids backed down." LOL, he called them kids.
That's the price one pays for pushing the physicality envelope like Abby was allowed to last weekend. If you're just going to run roughshod over folks, you may not get a referee as lenient as Hunt was in the semifinal. Truth to tell, any other ref on a day like that in a slightly less forgiving mood and Abby grabs bench Saturday, since any ejection carries over to the next match, even if it's a championship (just ask Michael Ballack vs. Brazil in the world cup final) Paul
And then, so did yours. Duh. Oh! So did mine! Check that out! WOW! We all have something in common! Seriously, valid points on Abby, Charge. Objectively, there was an argument for 2 yellows to Abby in that match (and several penalties that went un-called on the Charge players as well). Abby is doing what any good athlete will do--she is seeing how far she can push the envelope. Sometimes that attitude will come back and bite her, but often it will work in her favor. It is gutsy, that is for sure, and one of the reasons I enjoy watching her play.
Actually, he was just talking about Abby, which is completely acceptable to in the Freedom forum, no?
