Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] yessssssssss!! Finally that debacle we displayed in this tourney is over
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] That was one of the best suck, er, player evaluation sessions I've ever seen! U.S. soccer, you rock!
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] The Twellman and EJ experiment is OVER. Let Davies and Nguyen have their shot.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] The USA will never amount to anything in the World Cup or real international play using MLS players and coaches. That's a fact that many of you don't want to admit.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] Look what happened when EJ FINALLY got yanked after nearly 3 games and was replaced by Nguygen ... our first sustained attack for the entire game. Yes, a terrible game, the Americans embarassed themselves today.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] Not much for hyperbole are you? Davies has yet to play as anything other than a sub (a guy with fresh legs against a bunch of tired defenders). Altidore hasn't exactly lit up the U20s. Catipulted (sic)? I don't think so.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] I hope Bradley is embarrased. The fans of our NT deserve better at the grandaddy of all international competitions. No BS excuses will change this fact.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] No, my little sister is another EJ. Davies went forward and in the few minutes he was on the field, he looked better than EJ & TT did in 2 (3) games. yes, I said it.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] From the thread "USA's Official Copa America Roster" Remember when that prediction was shockingly pessimistic?
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] Fully deserved wooden spoon for us. That starting XI couldn't get out of the English Conference. As far as player ratings go, there was not a single person on the field who deserved over a 5. That was the worst U.S. performance I've seen since watching that crap we spewed against Iran in 1998 in France.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] Crap bowl 2007 is finally over. The Americans were shutout with out any touchdowns. Even after the Colombians quaterback was ejected from the game Team USA couldn't sting together good rebounds or jump shots. All that TEAM USA were looking for was a hole in one but they didn't have the precision of a Tiger Woods. I can honestly say, THANK GOD THIS WAS NOT ON ESPN, ABC, or any other major US English speaking network!!!
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] I think this was a bunch of crap we finished last in this tournament.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] Your joking if you think Davies and Nguyen are better options than EJ. Wait until they actually prove anything. After tonight's game, they don't look to be anywhere close.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] Well, it's over. The group today was put out there to get experience and my guess is that was the objective of the coaches. The lineup of the first two matches would have probably won, given Colombia's poor finishing. Okay then, let's see who gets recalled in the next U.S. match, on August 22nd vs. Sweden.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] I think you're exactly right. These kids KNOW they can play with these veteran teams, but lessons about concentrating for 90 minutes and the agony of blown chances are going to be invaluable. Anyone who thinks there was anything but positive in this venture is flat out wrong. Of course I don't give a good rats patoot about what S. American and Mexican media and fans think, which many here seem almost in despair over.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] yeah the last two games were torchering to watch. i dont know why i end up watching the full 90. we played horrible soccer
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] I think there was a good amount of MLS players on the WC 02 team.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] Steps for Sweden roster: 1. Examine MLS rosters. 2. Don't pick any of those stiffs. 3. Go from there.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] The referee could have, quite literally, added 1,557 minutes of stoppage time, and we still wouldn't have scored or even remotely looked capable of it.
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] I was lucky enough not to see any USA france 98 game if today was as bad as that I truly feel sorry for those who had to watch our team in 98. Watching the nats 2night made me want to gauge my eyes out
Re: 7/5 USA vs Columbia Post Match Thread [R] Because our Euro-heavy roster in '06 did so much...oh wait...
