95 times out of 100, that shot goes in no matter who is minding the nets.

I dont know why people on here blame Bradley. Bob can not make Sasha finish an open header from four yards. Bob cant make Drew moor finish his header, or teach Jimmy to talk to his goalie. Bob cant make justin mapp finish a breakaway.

I'm so fukcing mad I could spit. Piss fukcing poor effort in the second half. We came alive late but the game was already lost. We have got to find peope who can finish. We need them. We potentially could of been up 3-0 in the first half. Lack of finishing is our demise. Until we fix this our national team will not progress. But put everything aside for a minute, I'm am so fukcing pissed because we gave up. The second goal was scored and we crawled into a hole. What the fukc? I have not seen that from Bradley's teams. We pissed this fukcing game away. We got dominated for 35-40 minutes of that second half. The only bright spots for me were Johnson and Mapp. Johnson had that look of desperation today. We worked his ass off and was tracking back and attempting to win the ball. Doing anything he can to spark the team. His team failed him. He came to play. Mapp did what nobody Gold Cup or CA has done. Take people off the dribble with speed and purpose. He played exceptionally well and it's shame he couldn't has been inserted at half or even started. This game hurts. It hurts ten times more than Argentina. I feel like I've been bitch slapped.

Just because the defense screws you doesn't mean you have to react slowly, come halfway, hesitate and then do nothing to stop a shot. Or look like a 60-year-old trying to get to a maybe-slightly-above-average free kick.

If this is supposed to be a learning experience, WTF is Guzan not playing?

  10. Is he fully to blame for goals 1 & 2? No. Is his timid play a contributing factor to those goals? Yes, it is.

Last comment, before I go watch the sunset and let the sky's beauty wash away this awful match: This was much harder to take than the loss to Argentina. In that match, our mistakes arguably just changed the degree of the loss. In this one, they cost us victory. That is Bitter. From Bradley down to the guy who forgot to put viagra in Keller's water bottle, more than a little self-honesty is critical ahora.

If Keller plays again, ever, for the USMNT [unless a retirement party masquerading as a friendly], it is the day that BB has put out a big neon sign flashing long into the night, "Fire Me"

Way to TOTALLY miss the point.

Seriously, congratulations: few people could try to create such an asinine, idiotic agenda from my post.

I agree Guzan should be in there rather than Keller. This team is based on the idea that you are throwing the youngsters into the fire to prep them for the future--it's not like Keller's experience is doing much in the way of instilling confidence...look how the defense played today. Get Guzan in there.

Also, Twellman has had his chances over the years and fails to ever do anything different in showing something (anything at all) at this level. I don't care how inexperienced he is, but I better see Charlie Davies in there the final game considering that we are currently keeping him away from his club team.

  18. Dude. We learned that in June of last year.

Gladbach learned that some time in December of this year.

Right on. Skill-wise, the U.S. held their own. It was the mental mistakes that were costly. As for those dissing Mapp. Yeah, he is a little on the slacker side, but even that overdribbling in the box showed what he is capable of. Before losing it, he managed to patiently hold the ball and dribble by three guys. He has to be in the mix. What he needs is a little baptism by fire in Europe, preferably Spain.

Either you have never played keeper, or you have very poor lateral mobility. That was quite saveable.

Apparently you don't understand the fact that club coaches have to release players for the Gold Cup, but they do not hae to for the Copa America.

wow. i am completely disgusted with US soccer and Bob Bradley right now. I have to give it to our boys for playing their hearts out but the only americans out there tonight that EVER deserve to were the national shirt ever again were johnson, clark, and feilhaber. the defense was awful. keller is completely finished.
US soccer (the organization) and Bradley are to blame for this. i think we should have either taken this tournament seriously and brought our A team. but no. US soccer wanted to show off it's "depth" and in doing so made an absolute joke of a roster. its not fair to us as US fans to have to watch this. we all wanted to see what our A team could have done. its not fair to those players who played in those first two games to put them in a situation like this. ******** you US Soccer (the organization) and ******** you bob bradley.

sorry for the ranting but i had to vent a little bit.

We can still make it. In order for us to Qualify....

1.- We have to beat Colombia by 2 goals
2.- Colombia has to lose tonight
3.- Venezuela would have to beat Uruguay by 2 and Peru can not lose to Bolivia
or... Mexico would have to beat Chile by 2 and Brazil can not lose to Ecuador.

All in all... I was expecting worst results with these guys. I have seen some positive things. Don't be too hard with the young guys.

I'm with you. I don't know what's up with all the handwringing around here. We got a 2nd string US team wiped by Argentina's A-1 squad, which was totally predictable. In the 2nd game, the US actually outplayed Paraguay, but suffered from a lack of finishing (and quite frankly a bit of panic around the goal), and lost in a game that they could have seriously had 5 or 6 goals. This is a great experience for some guys who ARE learning from the experience. You don't just learn in victory. I'm one of the guys who didn't think the US should have played this tournament. But having gone, I think that this will help these particular players in the end, big time.
