I know that he's got good secondaries, but the other trainees I have at IM spots are not worse than him. Some just don't have that stamina yet, but my reserve squad can wait with excellent stamina until next season. And I've got at least one too many, so the replacement is already there.

Also, I will be over $160k in debt tomorrow, with a still quite negative cash flow. So I want to get out of paying all this interest every week. So I hope that his good secondaries and the excellent stamina might fetch me $200k, which would erase my debt.

Does that make any sense now, or should I still reconsider my decision?

Stogey, if I may continue this: here's the alternative I could think of. This guy will pop to solid PM in at most 3 weeks. He's got worse secondaries, but is almost a level ahead in PM and has got a better speciality than Simo (Head is better for an IM than Quick). And the difference in stamina would be erased in the next off-season (have to train it again anyway). Would it be better to wait for this guy to pop, and then sell him?

    Dragan Ralević (63991180)
    18 years, solid form, healthy
A controversial person who is balanced and dishonest.
Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities.

    Wage: 1 392 CHF/week including 20% Bonus
    Owner: FC Holzöpfel
    Warnings: 0
    Injuries: Healthy

    Stamina: passable Goaltending: disastrous
    Playmaking: passable Passing: inadequate
    Winger: wretched Defending: poor
    Scoring: inadequate Set Pieces: disastrous

Form +9/-8. Improvement to my worst players, while my better players went down. Well, after a +34/-5 week, I guess I shouldn't complain. No pops of any kind.

    fcsg,

I am with Stogey on this one. Wait for Dragan to pop Solid w/PM and sell him. The stamina issue with him is not that bad and the Inad/Pass will bring a bit more for him as well than if he didnt have it.

Simo should be able to get Solid this season, barring injuries, then you should be able to get him to Excellent maybe by the middle of next season.

Simo's secondaries are gonna bring a huge return by the time he is Excellent in his PM.

As far as secondaries for both, I think they are equally good for an IM, IMHO.

So you have 11 trainees now?

If so, I'd consider letting your worst winger trainee lapse for the time period until this second guy pops. It's all up to you though, I jsut really wanted to make sure you needed the money. :D

Growth over results - that's always how I make my decisions. Soon enough, the results take care of themselves...ESPECIALLY when you're a PM trainer.

Mixed bag of form. My backup keeper trainee has had his form take a nosedive over the last two weeks.

that's really true... dont forget... these are the training spots u have as a PM trainer...

4 non repositioned IM's 2 in the friendly 2 in the league match
    2 repositionend IM's 1 in f 1 in l
4 half training spots that your wingers play in...

if you cant be competitive w/ 2 trainees at the wingspots in your league matches u should atleast be able to get away with 1, play one winger offensive and the other should be a pm toward the middle (to increase his use to you, at toward the middle 75% of his pm skill go to your midfield).

right right... my training this week?

1 pop to a scrub winger who i'm waiting on his form to increase to sell hopefully for 40K or so... he's really not that good... inad D weak PM solid winger in weak form w/ exc stamina...

Good form this week though +6/-6 that does not seem spectacular but...
only 1 starter went down and one guy who only started due to form went down 2 levels... the other three drops were my back up CF, CB and GK...

    of the +6
1 went to the guy who im goin to sell when his form gets good.
1 each to my 2 best im's, 1 to a trainee and 2 levels up for a backup striker.

I'm really hoping for a pop or two in the next 3weeks and also hoping that by the end of the season my best im will pop to brilliant PM

    here he is...

    Stephen Skotnes
    TSI = 7 290 , 22 years, solid form
Has poor experience and passable leadership abilities

    Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous
    Playmaking: outstanding Passing: inadequate
    Winger: weak Defending: poor
    Scoring: weak Set Pieces: weak

any guesses as to how close he is? right now he's only worth 1.7M or so, how much do brilliants w/ inad passing go for?

Buddy says he'd be worth around 2.3mil.

I'd guess he's anywhere from 3-4 weeks from popping.

My star forward popped to solid scoring. It's been a good week. He's worth more to me right now this season than I could probably get selling him. I think he's only "worth" some 40k.

wonderful... wonderful... I'm going to start looking for 17yo excellents or 18yo excellents w/ pass passing...

I'd be really happy if he popped in 3-4 weeks, but I expected him to pop closer to the end of the season but who knows?

Actually scratch that! Sorry to get your hopes up. Here's a 19yo of mine who's virtually the same, and he's only had 2 weeks of training at the outstanding level.

    Bouke Embregts
    TSI = 7 530 , 19 years, passable form
Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities

    Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous
    Playmaking: outstanding Passing: inadequate
    Winger: weak Defending: wretched
    Scoring: inadequate Set Pieces: wretched

So I'd say you're looking at anywhere from 6-7 weeks at least.

Yea, two of my best mids that just popped to excellent were not suppossed to pop for 2 and 3 weeks respectively. The funny thing is that I only have a passable coach.

Are you basing that on the age of your IM or johno's IM?

johno's IM is 22 and yours is 19.

Just curious and gaining knowledge for when I get ready to switch training. ;)

    Yes, that is VERY normal.

In theory, all players who do not play a trainable position for your selected training, will get a tiny bit of skill increase in that discipline.

In the course of almost a season and a half of Wing training, I have seen at least 4 (could be more) of my non-trainees pop a level in their Wing skill.

Based on his age. I guess it's possible, but not likely that he'd pop that soon.

    Sorry, but need more clarification.

The 19yo SHOULD pop within 6-7, while the 22yo MIGHT pop within 6-7?

I think Edgar Jones (65622017) may have moved to the #2 spot for 17yo US keepers. According to Hottrick, it will take Troy Cervantes (65625621) another 2-3 weeks before he pops, where Edgar should pop next week.

    All this is speculative.
