5/28 cybersoccernews preview : United works on finishing chances

Interesting game preview by Chris Snear (who he ?) who reports that the lads are practising, wait for it, finishing in preparation for tomorrow's game.

As DC United (2-4-3, 9 points) prepares to meet the last place New England Revolution, many of their younger players voluntarily stayed on the practice field on a hot, muggy afternoon to practice just that. Goalkeeper Doug Warren joined the likes of Alecko Eskandarian, Brain Carroll, Josh Gros and Kevin Ara. After two losses last week and with a shorthanded lineup, any or all could be given a chance to produce this weekend

Sounds good. Also the article suggests that Convey and Olsen could play tomorrow (they are listed as probable).

Sounds like a lightbulb went on in someone's head. Spending a practice devoted to finishing?.....BRILLIANT!

Let's hope it pans out, I was watching some highlight footage of the Revolutions keeper and he seems (or at least he did in the Rapids match) to be a pretty good keeper. We need to finish! We seem to have gotten the "Oh matches are a full 90?" thing down and if Convey and Olsen play we should be set for a win....maybe.
