    Audio.

As soon as I log on, Marcus with a good save on Whitehead.

"He's (Marcus) kept them in this game so far."

    Here to help.

Getting the overall feeling that Reading's holding on for deal life.

Except the last couple of minutes.

Marcus with another, albeit easy, stop.

    Scoreless at halftime.

A point from this one might be a stretch.

Horrible backpass by Harper forces Marcus into a huge save from Arca.

1-0, Sunderland. Arca. No chance on that.

Reading picking up the pace. Big Les is on for them as is Keown.

1-1; Kitson with another not so pretty but still counts goal.

    Wow.

Penalty to the Royals. Shorey feeds Sidwell, takes a run, gets taken down in the box.

    Kitson to take...

Its huge for Reading too. They are by no means a lock for a promotion spot, and there was little expectation of points in this one (given how well Sunderland has played of late)

Not much of a report to make. I didn't go. It's about a six-hour drive to Sunderland, which has to be driven every mile of the way - no turning on the cruise control and nudging the steering wheel once every half an hour when you hit a bend.
I could have watched it on SKY, except I don't have SKY. I could have watched it in a pub, but I'm not sure if the anti-biotics I'm taking to get rid of a persistent cough (it's approaching a month now - if it hangs around much longer I'm going to have to name it and put it down for a local school) are acceptable with alcohol. I could go to a pub, watch it on SKY, and not drink, but going to a pub and not drinking is like chewing a toffee with the wrapper on.
I could have listened on the radio, but I find listening on the radio frays my nerves. Every single attack sound like it's an almost certain goal. The only way I can take it is turning on the radio every 10 minutes or so.
As a result, even in a tense promotion game, I stay calm. Too calm to be honest. I feel cold and unemotional, like a wet afternoon in Austria.

So I can offer nothing at all about Hahnemann, except to say in an internet poll among Reading fans he was 3rd in the player of the year voting. Convey didn't make the voting list. Some say he wasn't given a fair chance to get on the list, while some said he hadn't earned the right to be on the list. A few said he'd been good enough to be on lists before so he ought to be good enough now, but others said he'd never been pushed to get on a list before. The official wording is that he has an allergy to the list, which prevented him from being on there.
