It sounds to me like it would be Sacramento and 7 MLS teams. The tweet says "one of the seeded teams". There are 8 seeded teams that get a bye into the Round of 32: the 4 teams that are in the CCL and the top two next best in the East and West conference. Sacramento would be one of the 8 since they would be in the CCL. EDIT: the actual USSF release says: https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...ation-window-opens-for-fall-qualifying-rounds May 9-10, 2023 Round of 32 (8 seeded teams enter) And then notes: Seeded Teams = Four U.S. teams in Concacaf Champions League + next four best teams from 2022 Division I Regular Season Standings (2 East + 2 West) It does not specify Division I for the CCL entrants.
Thanks! Yet one more reason for me to root for Sacramento. It nudges one other MLS team down a level, increasing the odds of another lower-tier:MLS matchup. The more of them the better, as far as I'm concerned!
Orlando City SC @OrlandoCitySC 53m Officially SOLD OUT Can't wait to see you all for a packed house in two weeks for the @opencup final
Very fun to watch the tournament this year after two years away. Congrats to Orlando City on the win and to Sacramento on a great run.
--------------- So wish more attention give to USOC Got lucky and found it on UTUBE to watch it The final (at least) needs to be on either ESPN or Fox or even better , an over the air channel. Sad otherwise.
