0-5 to the Millers. Pissing it, Rov'rum. Donny are pants, and there's a way to go yet ... but still. They're walking this division. Really impressive.
Yep another poor performance, injury and red card (both key defenders). We were lucky to get the win what with Vickers saving a late penalty. They always say the sign of a good team is winning when you're playing poorly though... Hopefully Ihiekwe is okay.
You fancy your chances on Sunday, Myshoe? I'm thinking a draw is on ... 0-0 or maybe 1-1. Rotherham's promotion train keeps rolling along and a dent in Wednesday's hopes for automatic promotion, but their run for the top six stays on track. A win for Wednesday will definitely help them more than it would hurt Rotherham.
Yeah I was going to say a 0-0 bore draw is most likely or 1 goal either way, a few weeks ago I would have fancied us to win but lately we've been barely scraping wins against bottom dwelling teams and Wednesday seem to have finally got their act together. Two teams with solid defences and not a great deal of creativity going forward I can't see it being a 5 goal thriller that's for sure.
One thing that might suit us is that Wednesday will presumably go for the win whilst a lot of teams we've been playing recently have been set up to frustrate us. I think we're probably a better counter-attacking side rather than one that can break down a well organised strong defence.
Better team on the day lost but same could be said of the reverse fixture earlier in the season. Awful conditions and pitch. We took our chances Wednesday didn't.
BTW according to Sky we've broken the all time Football League record for least amount of goals conceded in 15 away games during a season. FEWEST GOALS CONCEDED After 15 away League games Rotherham - 2021-22 - 5 goals Leeds - 1974-74 - 6 goals Chelsea - 2004-05 - 6 goals Reading - 2005-2006 - 6 goals I think that extends to 16 games now.
Sky gave Richard Wood MOTM, shows how much on the back foot we were. We only really looked any good going forward after Rathbone came on at start of second half. We've not been great for a few games now though been scraping 1-0's Donny aside. Having a rock solid defence definitely helps when you aren't scoring freely.
Wigan up a goal in the 70th at the New York Stadium. Wigan need it more than Rotherham if we're honest ... but getting that goal back would be comforting.
