March 9th is actually match day 3 Sat 2pm Charlotte @ Toronto Sunday 4&6 pm DC @ Cincinnati Montréal @ Miami these 3 games intrigue me the most outside of our match up
Wasn't there a story last week or the week before about Miami being non-compliant with the salary cap? If so, this could just be about them getting under the number.
They had to be compliant by Feb. 20. My guess is that they’re off loading a player because they intend to sign a different one. But what do I know.
Rumor has been the Tata wants to continue the reunion theme and bring in Gressel (done) and Franco Escobar (Houston, formerly with Atlanta), who I’d imagine will play right back in Yedlin’s place.
I'm never poking fun at the Crew's Match Ignitor routine ever again. New tradition unlocked 🔓Prior kickoff @scaldwell15 threw the inaugural Tea Create from The Fort! pic.twitter.com/gwQq3BBQ7C— New England Revolution (@NERevolution) March 3, 2024
It's supremely goofy and I love it. Silly enough to laugh about and enjoy. Whatever it is they're trying to do in NE... oof.
At least this has more to do with their name in the long run. I get the construction theme but tea in the harbor is far more on brand.
How is Vermes still the coach for KC? Guy's the human version of a goddamned cockroach at this point.
What was the name of Boston’s old NASL team? Something to do with tea… They love them some revolution and tea heaving.
…who moved to Jacksonville and became… the Jacksonville Tea Men. Kinda like the New Orleans Jazz moved to Salt Lake City and became the Utah Jazz. Seems to me if you move (or buy and move) a team with a local/regional brand, it would make better marketing sense to change the name to incorporate into local/regional culture. But they did’t ask me.
…which is dumb since their state tree is the pecan. What was the propoganda about why he chose the oak (other than the club could be moved and have a generic logo to apply anywhere)?
