Tigre's star forward Gignac shanked his shot inside the 18 over the bar so bad it was shocking considering his skill and being at home. That miss and others on Tigres spurning their chances would spell doom for Tigres as it went to PKs.

The man not only has a nose for goal but he has a quick trigger, he knows how to carve out a cut of yardage from his mark and get a shot on frame. Columbus really did well last night. It got chippy right before halftime and to get a winner late on was sublime for the defending league champions. Again, a team of this quality that our Dynamo men had on the ropes back in February! The return league down in Monterey tho!

The return leg down in Tuzoville was a thriller a second! Certainly from a neutral viewer with the end to end run of play and of course the small mining town of Pachuca versus the big city, big money team in Club America.
Although I am still sore about Pachuca taking the W's mostly against the Dynamo in our early international competitions, I was still rooting for the Gophers to win vs America. Way in the past I remember us losing to Pachuca on PKs at the Rob and unfortunately for me the owner of Pachuca was right behind me at the match celebrating their W. Hoping the Crew get the result they need in Monterrey tonight to make it a MLS vs MX final.
You mean that epic Super Liga battle at The Rob where it goes to PK's and our man Joseph Ngwenya tried to get cute and do a chip shot against Pachuca's Calero. Where he just catches it with ease. Ya, that one hurt.
What a week it has been. All of the Champions league Semi-finals games — both Euro and Concacaf have been fantastic thrilling games. Only one that did not end spectacularly was Columbus putting Rayados away relatively early.
