coming in hot today. just looked at the mls website and saw a whole bunch of official announcements red bulls cincy austin atlanta colorado revs must be the day.

According to the Rapids this is the first time a MLS club has partnered with a local artist for a kit design. Also the goal of the kit is to bring attention to mental health issues (in a similar way that the prior away kit, the Class V, was done to bring attention to protection of the local mountains).
Chicago drops tomorrow too, likely sans sponsor. Based on the reversible jacket, the jersey is likely light blue, but this tweet gives me hope that maybe we’ll get red shorts at the very least. Mañana. 🔥 pic.twitter.com/NhpAblL1ZM— Chicago Fire FC (@ChicagoFire) February 15, 2023

Today's Drops (That I've seen so far) Houston - Nice, nothing too over the top, the blue is definitely long gone (good imho) Austin - I like it, mostly because it upsets people. Philly - Camo? Really? NYCFC - Very cool. Seattle - Nice, will look interesting on the pitch. Columbus - At least the construction workers are gone. Cincy - I'd have made the water image shirtwide, it just looks like the players are trying to hose down their opponents.
Agreed. It's fine, just not as good as the By U one. This one is called For Philly. With the Sounders away kit now revealed, I thought this was funny: Every Sounders jersey is a local music tribute, conspiracy updated for 2023 pic.twitter.com/Ul9ynC9TiL— AP (@Interpearsonal) February 15, 2023
Really nice kit. Unfortunately the combination of the price, being a Sounders kit, and supporting the Sounders fans with their sponsor concerns means I likely won't be buying one.
As an alternative, the Bruce Lee Collection has some pretty good options and there's no Providence branding. https://www.soundersfc.com/bruce-lee-kit/lifestyle-gallery Downside, Pro Shop only.
Yeah, I'm gonna need that red dragon scarf for my collection... (And that fleece crewneck has some serious Sonics vibes to it)
They re-upped with Motorola last year at the very last second after all the photo shoots for the new kits were done too. Any of last year's kits sold outside of the Fanatics universe came without a sponsor.
Chicago supposedly had a similar deal with a lot of merch that was stadium only last season. Having twins born about a week before the season kicked off, I sure as hell wasn't getting to a game to pick any of it up last year. I still don't have a decent hat with the new logo.
I couldn't get any of the barcodes on Austin's jersey to scan. Going to have to return that to sender. Very uninspired by Columbus's jersey. Portland has plaid and it's awesome.
Overall, I like the general direction of the new kits. Even if I’m not a fan of the design (like Austin), I commend teams for not being content with boring templates and trying some new alternate colors. Now I’ll go against what I said a little and just say the new Atlanta kits are gorgeous. Sometimes, when you have a classy look, you just stick with it. I’m a St. Louis Cardinals fan, and I never want them to stray too far from a classic look. Atlanta needs to follow that template as well. I also really like the new Portland kits. That shade of green with the plaid pattern is brilliant.
