The CUP Final. Finally. Yay. It's on Paramount+, CBS Sports Network, Telemundo, Universo, Peacock, and maybe 1,000 other outlets. Would love to see Artur get some more trophy. I totally won't be watching with tears in my eyes.
No messi. He's scared of The Cup. Steve Clark is going out there, and he's lost two finals. Check that, they are sending out crew legend and Kevin Stefanski impersonator Andrew Tarbell.
I've never seen a team's performance drop so much sans one player...and I saw the LeBron 1.0 Cavaliers.
Wow, Houston hangs on for dear life to win the CUP 2-1. The Dynamo midfield looked completely gassed the last 25 minutes, but they did just enough to lift the best, most important trophy in the world. Super stoked for Crew Legend Artur. Hope we take the CUP seriously next year.
Busquets had a good game. Not too many other guys showed a lot. I thought Carrasquilla was terrific for Houston. And leaving Clark on the bench for a cup final was shrewd.
I hope we play against these guys in THE CUP next year. Kwame Appiah from season four of Love is Blind won in the qualifying rounds of the @opencup with a club called Sharktopus FC. The magic of the cup is peaking early. pic.twitter.com/jRYM1nx62Q— ben goshorn (@TheSoccerGoose) October 2, 2023
Technically not the 2023 Cup, but this is wild: https://hudsonriverblue.com/us-open-cup-qualifier-abandoned-after-player-threatens-to-stab-ref/
This man is a menace and must be stopped. Garber said the leagues need to embrace the #USOC and make it better. He said if they can't do that, the leagues need to meet and discuss what to do next. Garber said there might be changes to MLS's participation in the Open Cup.— Patrick Murphy (@_Pat_Murphy) December 8, 2023
Does this only happen in America or do other countries have top flights trying to get out of their domestic cup?
NEW: On Friday afternoon, #MLS announced that it will have its Next Pro developmental teams participate in the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup instead of its first teams. The league will reassess participation for future iterations next winter. Report: https://t.co/avqm3AJBjI— Jeff Rueter (@jeffrueter) December 15, 2023 WHAT THE ABSOLUTE FUCK?! Don Garber is a menace.
Well you can still send bench players to next pro like JRR right ? I would let my young back ups play in open cup if logistics don’t hurt the first team if they are needed
