Thanks Honestly we haven't been playing anywhere near as bad as our recent results suggest. A lot of bad luck and missed chances. That cannot continue forever. One thing that did surprise me was how tight we were defensively. I haven't seen that with our team for a long time.
Ghana 2 Egypt 2 Ghana score 2 beautiful goals through Kudus and then give up 2 of the sloppiest goals I've seen all tournament. Just like the last match.
Senegal like Nigeria need to be more clinical on dangerous counter attacks. With more precision this game would have been over much sooner. But Senegal look good. They are just managing their way through this group.
Well the chances weren't shots on net. They were turnovers in posession where they had quick counters where their attackers outnumbered Cameroon defenders. They didn't make the right decisions and squandered these.
Algerias coach Belmadi is just obsessed with filling his team with as many 30 plus year old players as he can. He can't get over the fact that these veterans won him the cup back in 2019. Bit those veterans failed at the next cup and failed to qualify for the WC. Especially in these hot conditions, this is a young man's game. Algeria looked so much better when Mahrez and Belaili were brought off. Coach is stubborn as hell.
didn't understand how Amoura was on the bench and Feghouli starting Mahrez was very disappointing too
they controlled the game alright but I think Nigeria creates more real chances but are way less efficient.
Morocco was trying to Coast through the game after an early lead and it cost them. I understand the reasoning though with the weather and the final group game after only 2 days of rest. DR Congo also isn't a bad team. They may finally be living up to their potential.
Apparently both Senegal and Nigeria have the most big chances created and big chances missed. Big chances created Nigeria 9 Senegal 6 Guinea 6 Big Chances Missed Nigeria 7 Guinea 5 Senegal 4 So yeah both are wasteful, but Nigeria more so. And that stat right there has been the main problem for Nigeria over the past year or so.
