    Praise be.

Gutman is a genuinely good MLS left back, and even as someone who isn't a Fire fan exactly, watching Miguel Navarro brainfart his way through another season in Chicago would've made me cancel my tickets.

This is a profoundly idiotic move by the Rapids.

He was one of the very few players on the Rapids roster that is actually good enough to start on multiple MLS teams. In exchange for giving him away they got a downgrade that probably won't pan out and some GAM they'll waste on something stupid like a goalkeeper or another Keven Cabral-tier signing.

Did MLS release the list of waiver wire guys this year? I never saw it.

Damn. Guess Nashville doesn’t need international players.

I guess they think if they sell the spots now, they can get more than it will cost to buy some back in mid-season.

Nashville wants to be the Chivas of MLS. They should attempt to go after a USMNT player that would be willing to come back to MLS. Offer him a DP spot. Pefok (or Sargent) as a two man striker duo with Surridge?

Well when you see how they have failed on pretty much everyone but Hany, you can see why they might ignore them.

Seriously though, they only have 2 players that seem to count as an international right now (Surridge and Leal). Even with trading these 5 they still may have 2 open slots. The regular complement of 8 plus an extra slot they got from SKC earlier this year (don't think they traded away any '24 slots before this). Considering they have only 6 senior slots left right now before free agency and re-entry, I don't see it being too big of a hinderance for them.

Hoping for 1 and 2. The others would be good too but seem like half measures compares to real changes in the first two. Wonder if this will come with more senior roster slots

I'd bet my Garber bucks on more GAM and raising the DP threshold. If you increased the DP threshold to say $2.3M it could open up a dozen DP slots.
