Crew repirter on twitter says Nagbe is below TAM level, so Crew will have 3 U22 spots next year instead of the 1 they had this year.

Below TAM level meaning below $683,750?

Yeah, confused by that as well. For purposes of the U-22 initiative your 3rd DP needs to be a Young DP or a player that could be bought down using TAM (so not making over 1.7 million or so a year). But if he isn't a DP at all then it doesn't matter because him not being a DP means they only have 2, which opens up the additional U-22 slots.

I'm confused whether you meant brought below DP using TAM, or below maximum wage not using TAM.

    MathLS is hard.

One clear example of MLS being MLS. Just give the damn 3 U22 spots to each team without the restrictions of having a YDP or TAM or DP withing TAM range. I don't know what was so difficult of just giving everyone 3 U22 spots, period.

    Don't ruin all the fun.

Funny that aspect seems to be missing from FIFA.

No, $1,683,750. As in, he can be bought down to non-DP (TAM) level. Sorry if that was unclear.

Nagbe was over that level this year. Scuttlebutt was the Crew wanted to try and keep Zelarayan after Rossi, but since Nagbe could not be bought down ($1.8 mil), Lucas had to go.

I'd expect a buydown + another DP in Columbus.

Assuming he will be the backup for their new big DP 9, seems like a decent move (250k is not much risk). Sometimes players just look better outside red bulls system, or vice versa. If Barlow is the starter though

I'm guessing he'll be a back up and not a starter.

Rapids exercise options on Andrew Gutman, Calvin Harris, and Ralph Priso

Rapids decline options on Sebastian Anderson, Steven Beitashour, Oliver Larraz, Jack Price, Abraham Rodriguez, Gustavo Vallecilla, and William Yarbrough.

Additionally Luis Diaz and Diego Rubio are out of contract and have left the team. Danny Leyva's loan will expire and he'll return to the Sounders (there was no option to buy in the loan).

The Rapids are in negotiations to bring back Sebastian Anderson, Oliver Larraz, and William Yarbrough.

Danny Wilson's last contract announcement was a two year deal covering the 2022 and 2023 seasons, with team options for 20245 and 2025. He is not listed in the Rapids press release as one of the players who's option was exercised, but he is listed as under contract for 2024.

Doesn't it work like that in all leagues? If a team decides to cut you then you need to find another team either in the same country or abroad. It's tough but part of the game.

Team options aren't a thing in most of world football.

The Red Bulls had one on Kaku a couple of years ago that they thought was valid. He and his agents didn't. The Red Bulls tried to exercise it, Kaku told them to ******** off, and he's been in the Middle East making gobs of money ever since.
