Is the Ferris coach ready to move on? He would make the most sense, and I heard he was in the mix for a couple MidMajor openings last cycle.
It’s not the Ferris State coach that interviewed at Illinois State. It looks like they were 7-9-4 in 2023 but made D2 semis in 2022. Pretty successful in 3 stops so far.
Hearing Gardner Webb had a conversation with same wake forest assistant that BC spoke with. Miami- WVU assistant in the running. anyone have insight on Kansas?
No insight but I would be looking at Brock at South Dakota State. Guy can coach and I believe would do well there.

Coach Coll recruited a few of our players and was always sincere and honest. He is a very classy person and wish him the best.

This definitely looks like a good hire. That being said, I'm going to throw something out for discussion/feedback - will Coach Moodie need to adjust his recruiting now that he's at a Big 10 program versus being in charge of a Sun Belt program? I noticed that South Alabama has 10 international players on the roster and there are zero international players on Purdue's roster. When it comes to transfers, there are 10 transfers on the South Alabama roster, including, ironically enough, one from Purdue, whereas it doesn't appear that there are any transfers on the Purdue roster. Additionally, my sense is that the admissions standards are going to be higher at Purdue. Anyway, I don't know the man and I hope he does well.
Moodie is a smart guy who I would imagine would continue to use his international ties (he’s Scottish I believe) and the portal to his advantage. He won’t get top American players like Penn St, Mich St, Ohio St, soon to come UCLA and Stanford, etc and Rutgers will always have their PDA pipeline. He has to get legit Big 10 players another way and he has that recruiting expertise from South Alabama which Purdue must have liked.
Moodie is indeed a great hire and will figure it out sooner than later. However, the challenges he will face will be far deeper than just the inability to bring internationals at ease. (Purdue lone international is a dual-citizen) - Mobile, AL is an easier sell than all the surrounding schools in that conference. Monroe, Lafayette, Troy, Hattiesburg. Meanwhile, West Lafayette, IN. Is possibly the hardest sell across the Big Ten. - South Alabama had possibly a top 3, if not top 2 budget in the league. Not the case with Purdue. - Purdue is not the go to school in the state, let alone in the Midwest. Unless you play basketball or you are a Brees fan? First change I would expect, it’s for Purdue to have an easy non-conference schedule, much like USA had under him. Ultimately costing the Jaguars an at-large bid. On the other hand, South Alabama should go after someone that can recruit internationally & regionally to sustain the success of the P4 HC Factory. Graham Winkworth- Arizona St Richard Moodie - Purdue Who is next?
South Alabama should be capable of making a big time hire. Great program and both former coaches have gone Power 5. Do they attract a power five assistant?

Everything seems to be very quiet at the moment.... any updates or know of any positions close to being filled?
Funny to me when people ask this here of all places. No need at all to try and solicit information — a lot of posters here are so eager to show off how in the know they are or opine about who should or shouldn’t get what job.
