What are you worried about with Iran's GD? In no way will GD with Iran come into play with us. It can with Wales' GD.

I just want to eliminate any criteria that allows Iran to go through instead of US. For me, it’s not a guarantee that US beats Iran, making goal difference moot.

Maybe it's more evident now - but there is/was no combination of events that would've had Iran and USA with the same number of points.

If Iran ended with 6, USA would've been eliminated.
If Iran ended with 4, USA would've either had 3 or 5 (3 now).
    If Iran ended with 3, USA would've had 7, 5, or 4 (5 now).

Ecuador is definitely not a pot 4 team. Wales' ranking was very flattering. We dodge a bullet getting Wales and not Ecuador.

You people really overrate McKennie. He doesn't score that often.

Duke's goal still stands...1-0 at 77th minute...If this result holds, Tunisia will win against France to advance

    This World Cup is nuts.

Favourites under performing, perceived weaker teams either over performing or having a worldie.

And in the middle of all that, random results which make no sense.

I’ve no idea how this World Cup is going to play out :ROFLMAO:

Pathetically-weak VAR-given penalty for Saudi Arabia. Poland (Szechzny - sp?) saves it, and SA puts the follow-up over.

For those just waking up and checking to see if it's worth it, the Poland-SA match has really come alive and opened up. Fun as a neutral. And so long as SA doesn't win, helps set up a good match day 3 in the group.

Lewandowski scores easiest goal of career: takes it off defender who turns into him at top of box, turns and slots away. 2-0
