All times are CENTRAL because that's better than either coast. The abbreviations are straight off the scores page on the USL-C site. Games are on ESPN+ unless otherwise noted (I've been able to watch ESPN Deportes matches on E+ as well).

    Saturday 5/7

    HFD v LDN 6:00PM
    NM v SD 6:00PM
    PIT v BHM 6:00PM

    OC v OAK 9:00PM
    PHX v SA 9:30PM

    Sunday 5/8

    NY v SAC 12:00PM

A packed week with 5 straight days of games. Hartford is still the only winless side in the league. New Mexico has a tough week with a road game at Sacramento then a home game against San Diego. The Pittsburgh v Birmingham, Orange County v Oakland, and Phoenix v San Antonio matches stick out as well.

Lou City is doing mean and terrible things to Atl2 while El Paso and Tulsa are off to a banger of a start at 1-1 in the first 10 minutes.

    PHX v TBR 8:00PM ESPN2

Louisville's undefeated record will be tested with a Friday night west coast trip after a grueling Open Cup match midweek.

Pittsburgh v El Paso feels like one of the more intriguing matches of the week with the 2nd place team in the East against a usually good Western conference team that's starting to get going this season.

Miami v San Antonio could tell us a bit about just how good the Miami squad really is.

Memphis v Indy also seems very intriguing as 901 FC has been very good so far and Indy is starting to feel like the team that had such high hopes 4-5 years ago.

That Monterey Bay v RGV match seems like a good chance for the home team to win stay unbeaten in their new digs.

San Diego vs Colorado Springs might be the best pure matchup on the pitch this week.

Finally, we get to see that great stadium in Phoenix displayed nationally on ESPN2 with a quality Tampa Bay team in town.

Lou City finally loses one as the combo of a US Open cup game going to penalties on Tuesday plus a trip to the west coast on Friday night was just a bit too much and they conceded 3 in the second half to lose 4-3.

Oakland v Orange County tonight is a battle of the 11th and 12th teams in the West, which is a surprise given their quality last year. Both teams have combined for 7 draws in their last 10 games, which explains a bit of why each is underperforming.

Friday night's game between Colorado Springs and Las Vegas should be interesting. Vegas hasn't won since 4/16 against Pittsburgh, but they're still one spot out of the playoffs and only there due to goal differential. The Switchbacks are quickly becoming one of the best minor league soccer franchises in the US and are 3 points out of first in the West with a game in hand on first place San Antonio.

Saturday kicks off with a really bad Charleston team that won their opening game and hasn't won another since then hosting a resurgent Indy Eleven side that seems to be responding well to Mark Lowry as coach. At the same kickoff time we get 4th place Pittsburgh hosting 3rd place Detroit in what feels like it could become a pretty solid rivalry. Tampa Bay v Louisville and Tulsa v Miami rounds out a really good batch of Eastern Conference games happening early in the evening.

The Western Conference is tightly bunched with 7th through 13th separated by 4 points at the moment, make several of those late games really important. I'll be keeping an eye mostly on Orange County v New Mexico, Monterey Bay v Oakland, and especially that Sacramento v San Antonio match as a Republic win could further bunch up the standings in the West giving it early signs of being a full 13 team shootout for the 7 playoff spots.

The story of the week is obviously the first of 2 consecutive Saturdays with USLC games on the big ESPN channel. Detroit put 7011 in the stands yesterday and hopefully do it again next week. Detroit is 4th in the East, only 3 points out of first, and they host El Paso who has climbed to 4th in the West and haven't lost in their last 5.

On the 26th, we get Hartford at home in their 5500 seat stadium that they've already sold out this season. They're struggling badly with only 8 points out of 12 matches, but they're averaging over 5000 this season and host current second placed Louisville.

Second straight week on the main ESPN channel, this time kicking off at noon. Hartford hasn't been the best team, but they've got points in 3 of their last 4 while Louisville comes in as 1st in the East with a 1 point lead over Memphis, who has a game in hand on their Kentucky counterparts.

    Tuesday 6/28

    Wednesday 6/29

    CHS v ATL 6:00PM

    Saturday 7/2

    SA v CHS 8:00PM
    MB v NM 9:00PM
    LV v DET 9:30PM
    PHX v OC 9:30PM

    Sunday 7/3

    LDN v TUL 5:00PM

First in the West v 9th in the East tonight on ESPN2, but Tulsa is coming off a win, has points in 4 of their last 5, and has had a shakeup in their front office and coaching staff which seems to be working.

Colorado Springs again hosts a Friday night game against a top tier opponent, something that seems to be on the way to being a tradition at Weidner Field, but it is their 2nd game in 6 days as they play tonight and next Monday (July 4 on ESPN2). Even so, the Switchbacks v Sacramento feels like the game of the week.

If it isn't, the Tampa Bay hosting Memphis or Lou City hosting the suddenly red hot Birmingham Legion is. That's 4 of the top 5 in the East with kickoffs set for 30 minutes apart from one another.

Saturday night winds up with a shocker as 11th place Phoenix takes a 4 game losing streak into a home match against defending champions and 12th place Orange County who just won for the first time since May 13.

    OC v MB 9:00PM
    SD v LA 9:00PM
    SAC v OAK 10:00PM

Another ESPN2 game, this one on the 4th, matching up the 2nd and 3rd place teams in the West.

Wednesday gives us a game where the sliding Pittsburgh and Indy teams have a chance to solidify their spot in the East.

Saturday gives us a few more matchups in the East between teams in the 4-8 range with Indy v Detroit and Pittsburgh v Miami. El Paso v Colorado Springs and Sacramento v Oakland are probably the most important games in the West.

The other thing that sticks out is the ridiculous situation of New Mexico hosting Rio Grande Valley on Wednesday and Saturday, pitting the current 7th and 10th placed teams in the West against each other and giving both a chance to make a move in the standings if they can take 4-6 points out of the situation.

Not much in the way of interest until Memphis and Louisville square off for the top spot in the East on Saturday. New Mexico v Pittsburgh and Sacramento v Birmingham are both probably important non conference matchups.

We get one tonight with two top teams out west.

Another ESPN2 game, this time from the gorgeous stadium in Louisville.

A couple of interesting games early Saturday with Indy v Memphis and Birmingham v Tulsa in Eastern Conference battles and Detroit hosting New Mexico in an inter conference matchup. Action then switches to the Western Conference with El Paso and San Antonio starting things off and Oakland hosting Las Vegas as each try to sneak into a playoff spot. The weekend finishes with a badly struggling Phoenix team (no wins since May 28) hosting Sacramento who is in the last playoff spot and may be looking ahead to their 7/27 Open Cup match with Sporting KC.
