1) Use Google. 2) I still hate that Lady Marmalade song. 3) If the meme is joke of some sort, I'm possibly not understanding it.
I think.all you guys with the Nancy rumors are buying into Bezbatchenko head fakes. Rollins gave us the real poop back in October. I just want to be the first to say Welcome to Columbus Jason Bent.
Ferme la bouche!!!! Literally, the only thing I retained from 101. I've waited 40 years to be able to use this!!!
"Puis-je aller a la toilet" got me out of French class for five minutes. Thank gawd for that sentence. It was a lifeline.
They have to be, it would be completely ignored and forgotten within a minute of being announced if they did it.
I highly doubt we wait until December 19th (Monday after the finale) to announce. Wednesday or Thursday next week when there are no games. But what the hell do I know!!!
What difference does it make either way? They could announce it DURING the game tomorrow, or they could wait until a long break, seems to me it doesn't matter. Nobody outside of Columbus will care. It's not Earth-shaking news. Even in Columbus, it will make the local news at 6 and by 11 they'll be back to wondering if Mike Vrabel will be replacing Ryan Day in a coaching job that actually matters to them..
This. It only really matters in terms of roster development and prep for next season. The earlier we have a new coached named, the sooner he can get to work building a coaching staff, preparing for the draft, pre-season training, etc. Caleb Porter came on board in the wake of the #STC saga, and was a name that Crew fans could get somewhat ginned up about. Nancy may be a good hire (time will tell), but he's not the kind of name that's going to electrify the fanbase, either.
There's always the chance he is signed and is working with them to get coaching staff together and working on targets even though he hasn't been announced yet. Either way, I'm not entirely surprised they appear to have potentially dropped the ball on making the announcement during this WC run so far. Just look at the past few years in terms of Marketing and continual stepping on the rakes at every turn. Imagine if they would have done it right before the US England game or really any game. Have the coach come out and speak and what not to the large amount of local fans that are showing up to the stadium to watch soccer. Even if they aren't Crew fans, that'd be a good way to get visibility.
Yeah, it would be nice to get him in front of fans at some point. Like any other foreigner taking a job in the States, he'll need a work visa, which can take a little while. Anyway, I certainly hope things are happening behind the scenes and wouldn't be surprised if they are.
Im just curious if its actually a done deal with Nancy or if there was a bump in negotiations and back to the drawing board we go.
