People act like the ban helped Guatemala when in reality hit set them back pretty bad heck there federation is still having money issues and it’s not like the clubs have really changed the current philosophies they have.

The Bukele mindset of strong arming everyone is going to cause so much irreparable damage. The only ones probably happy are the garbage fan base of Alianza because that means Hugo and his coaching staff are gone when the suspension starts.

Looks inevitable that we are heading toward a ban from FIFA. Neither Carillo nor Yamil Bukele want to give in both are digging in further.

I looked at Yamil’s football league and saw he brought back Alejandro Bentos who is 44 now as a player along with a bunch of other no names. He hired a band and had some fireworks to make it look like something but yikes. It’s good it provides an opportunity for guys that might not otherwise get game time but if this is what his plan is to replace the old guard then truly nothing good will come out of this. Like his brother he talks a big game but actual results are underwhelming.

I like how now he’s trying to act like this came out of left field with the “we didn’t interfere what are you talking about.”

Also these guys are dense if they think FIFA would send INDES the letter of ultimatum and not FESFUT.

Is Yamil’s league supposed to be like what NASL was to USL?

More like MLS next pro I guess? But when people who watched it said Bentos clowned a few players at 44 oof that does not bode well.

Hugo making it very clear to anyone of these guys that might still be mulling it over.

Well we reached a resolution INDES backed off and it looks like some of the ones in charge of FESFUT resigned.

But more importantly we somehow avoided getting sanctioned. This tweet sums it up.

This thread by Claudio Martinez sums the situation as it stands now.

It’s still a pissing match between the FESFUT and INDES, but the fact we avoided harsher penalties is quite astounding.

Exciting to see Bryan Gil finally on board with us, and that Michel Mercado has been naturalised. That’s 4 Colombian-born players here.

It’s also interesting to note that the majority of players in this list play abroad.

As it stands Alianza is technically the only team active due to the CONCACAF League so he had to. Also for the rest they really haven’t been practicing since the shutdown so that’s a concern.

Really hope Bryan Gil and Michell Mercardo’s debuts with La Selecta won’t be delayed.

Marvin Gonzalez, Eduardo Vigil, Harold Osorio, Walter Pineda, Eric Calvillo, Roberto Molina and Ronald Arevalo all did not make the final cut.

A bit surprised to not see Landaverde even in the prelim roster. And Lisandro claros as well tbh.

Wasn’t Lisandro deported from the US?

Yep hence why he wasn’t on the call up list when they went up north for Quals, and the GC prior.

I can understand leaving him off when you look at the midfielder list. I mean you really didn’t need Darwin but I guess it’s seniority at this stage for him, well that and at least being active.

FAS hasn’t played great and with all the stuff going on in regards to new ownership and how it has been a bumpy transition. I don’t see many players getting call ups until that train is back on track.

The keeper situation is pretty bad after Mario the drop off is very significant. Tomas has been getting lit up, the one from Philly is a bit undersized and Carabantes is pretty bad himself options are limited.

Both Gil brothers couldn’t secure visas hence there absence as for Mercado a similar situation in regards to his naturalization.

    Peru 4-1 El Salvador

We had some chances but man Peru easily cut through the defense fatigue and depth being a factor. Darwin showing why his time with the NT is coming to a close, as for Larin unless Nelson Blanco makes the jump to a much higher league the only other option is Roldan.

Enrico what a fall from grace that combined with his attitude something less talked about it’s going to come to a head sooner or later.
