As of now, Seattle are in 9th place in the West. Nashville is 7th. A draw or a win puts the Sounders in 7th, Nashville in 8th, and Portland (currently 8th) into 9th place.

Good grief...the start of a chorus kick line in the Pacific Northwest?

No idea how both Sounders missed Medranda's cross.

Sounders had their chances to score...

Roldan couldn't put his shot in frame earlier, Montero wide open header put over. This drive across the box by Medranda where two players just couldn't get in the end of it.

...and another shitty week of MLS has come to an end.

Seattle not understanding a drop ball is hilarious.

In 2021, MLS teams in Texas and California were shut out of the MLS Cup playoffs. Could the same thing happen to the Cascadia teams in 2022?

Not just to tie, but to win going away.

@ManiacalClown will have the exact details, but the refs are assessed after every game by PRO. They are graded on every call (and every non-call). I know refs are penalized by having upcoming assignments adjusted or eliminated if they have particularly bad matches, however we may not see that impact right away as the refs are told privately a few weeks ahead of time what their assignments are, for planning/travel purposes, and usually any discipline will take place after those assignments are complete. It takes a significant error to have a ref lose their already communicated assignments.

Teams are in communication with PRO and the MLS Front Office and can lodge complaints (generally unofficially I think) about a ref's performance. I don't know if those complaints are really taken into account in reviewing a ref's performance but I do know some refs are rarely, if ever, assigned to certain teams they've had a significant history with in the past, at least for some period of time.

Thanks for the response, JasonMa. That's what I like about this site. There always seems to be someone on the threads who are on top of things and can drop some knowledge on us, as needed!
