The incident where Mbaizo go a YC for kicking the ball at the player on the ground was particularly interesting IMO. We've seen a player for the Galaxy I believe get multiple games for something similar, but of course the major difference in that prior case was that the ball was struck after the whistle blew.
Both Puig and Murillo have been fined for simulation/embellishment in the 11th minute of LAFC/LAG, Puig for diving in the penalty area, and Murillo for simulating contact to his head in the ensuing confrontation. https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/la-g...s-jesus-murillo-fined-for-el-trafico-incident
So the fine for Murillo jives with the, uh, rumor I've heard that the VAR had a camera angle that unequivocally showed no head-to-head contact. Of course, if you follow the DisCo's judgment to its logical conclusion, Puig should still have been sent off for 2CT (because the on-field caution was for his aggressive behavior, not for simulation). That said, I think the fine for Murillo more than reinforces the idea that PRO will be happy with Chapman's decision not to show red. And I think we'll see that expressed in a pretty clear way shortly.
