This might be the year I get a new top. It's been a long time - all of mine have the old MLS logo on the sleeve! Looking forward to tomorrow's unveil.

Rumor is we're getting a kit drop today. Anyone seen or heard anything yet?

I like the two tone collar and ringer on the sleeves.

From any distance that does not involve a magnifying glass I’ll have to take it in their world that there is a state line motif. Maybe the pattern just doesn’t come off well in a picture.

It’s not offensive like the tire skid mark design at least.

I looked closer with some contrast the new jersey and then quietly slipped my credit card back in my wallet. Maybe next year…..

I got excited when the video showed them stitching in the shuttlecock and the Rosedale Arch. Then it turns out to be a cheap vinyl heat transfer in a location that is not discernable in any of the pictures. I'm assuming it is centered under the collar on the back. <sigh> Underwhelmed.

But it is only a half-ring on the sleeves. The collar is nice, but largely it's a big dark blue blob.

Honestly, just buy a Hanes undershirt package that has a dark blue T-shirt and save your money. Plus you'll get two more shirts (primary and alternate) for free!

Seriously, is anyone else tired of Adidas? I'd much rather have Kappa, Joma, NB, or even Capelli take a stab. I bet they all could do better.

blue blob is a good description. And add the identical color shorts and socks and it’s an even bigger blue blob. Would love to see SKC add some contrasting color shorts and jersey. And not just shorts that look like a dirty laundry version of the top. Some mls teams do this well.

I've never liked the light blue jersey/dark blue shorts or vice versa combo, it just never looks good to me.

Living in Arizona, I have not seen the new state line kit up close and personal, but it looks completely unremarkable on a broadcast.

I'd been saving my final opinion until I saw it in person both up close and on the field, and yeah that's the conclusion I reached. The idea they wanted to do is cool, but it just doesn't look good on the jersey. I'll be saving my money this year.

It really failed to come across on the stream. OTOH, NYCFC's new shirt comes across loud and clear, and does Portland's. Not saying I love them, but they definetely strike you as something different.

I originally like Portland's was different. I don't think it comes across well on TV though. Haven't checked out the NYCFC highlights yet to check their's out.

I'm not sure you see Portland and say, oh, yeah, city of roses, but you know something is different about that shirt. NYCFC you can't help but seeing, probably from outer space. also, the Miami pink is interesting, though the team really is not.
