I think Brody did as well as he has the ability to do. I don’t expect him to execute something like that. As it is, he headed it low and to the post and on-frame. Normally a ball like that has a great chance. The GK did a good job getting into position.
Should be an intersection half ahead. RSL will be pushing hard and if we can finish there should be plenty of opportunities to win this. However Dallas could cause some chaos on the break if we aren’t careful and a second goal for them is not out of reach. I don’t know if it’s the style of play or the jet lag after crossing the pacific but that first half felt very long.
Soft giveaways in our defensive half directly led to the goal and a handful of other dangerous moments. Once they stopped doing that our play was much better. Of course, it can be argued that after the goal FCD eased up on the forward pressure.
FCD has been very vulnerable the final 15-20 minutes this season. Hopefully the altitude will do them in.
I believe he originally grew up in Texas and moved to New Zealand for work in his 20's. New Zealand's covid protocols made it difficult for him to get in and out of the country to work Australian A-League and international appointments. Moved back to the USA so he could still do international matches and work toward qualifying as a referee for this year's World Cup.
Meram has been dangerous, but he's also stopped a lot of attacks. Julio needs to be on the field. Not sure if you do that exact sub or not
