Kuala Lumpur: The AFC Executive Committee has today approved the AFC Women’s Football Committee’s recommendation to cancel the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Indonesia 2022 and the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2022.

 

It can be turned into an invitational. In Oct 2020, UEFA did so with its 2021 Men's U20 WC representatives.

Bear in mind that the 2021 WC tournament was eventually scrapped (Dec 2020).

What about U-17?

 

The U-17 WWC isn't scheduled until October 2022.

Should move both U17 and U20 to Costa Rica at least. Cause what’s going on I don’t think India can have a tournament at least 5 years or more.

 

Sorry, what? 5 years? Are you referring to the pandemic?

Also have you looked at the numbers per capita? Under those stats, the US shouldn't host anything at all right now. I know the health care system collapsed earlier this year, and that's a major concern if more of the population doesn't get vaccinated before another wave, but things are pretty much back to normal-ish (for a pandemic) in most of India. Or as normal as most any other country in the Global South currently. At the very least, COVID is just as much in control in India as it is [not] in the US...with a much more fragile health care system in India, for sure, but still your statement isn't reflective of the current reality in India.

And again, 5 years?!? God, I hope not. That's a bleak outlook for the pandemic worldwide if it's truly 5 years.
