    Hi everyone,

Concacaf has announced the draw date (June 8, at 8:00 p.m. US Eastern) and schedule (late July to early November) for the last edition of the Concacaf League as we know it. The format is unchanged; the only noticeable difference is that thanks to Forge's exploits, the CAN2 berth has now graduated to the higher pot for the Preliminary Round draw.

    The pots:

    Prelims

    Pot 1 (higher seeds)

    TBD (CRC)
    Municipal (GUA)
    Real España (HON)
    Platense (SLV)
    Pacific (CAN)
    Sporting San Miguelito (PAN)

    Pot 2

    Águila (SLV)
    Atlético Vega Real (DOM)
    Real Estelí (NCA)
    Malacateco (GUA)
    Waterhouse FC (JAM)
    Verdes (BLZ)

    Round of 16

    Pot 3 (higher seeds)

    Olimpia (HON)
    Motagua (HON)
    TBD (CRC)
    Alianza (PAN)
    Tauro (PAN)
    TBD (CRC)
    Diriangén (NCA)
    Alianza (SLV)

    Pot 4

    Cibao FC (DOM)
    Comunicaciones (GUA)
    Prelim winners

    And the draw results!

Tough luck for Pacific: a manageable prelim against Waterhouse leading into a showdown with Herediano or Alajuelense in the Round of 16, where they must win if they have any pretensions at a CCL berth. @Robert Borden

Pacific FC vs Waterhouse, that will involve some traveling distance.

Word to the wise, for those following the tournament in the US:

While there's no TV coverage in the prelims, and the Spanish-language stream now requires a subscription to TUDN's Vix, Concacaf is showing the English-language stream on its YouTube channel

For those of us following this in the US, after the prelim matches were only available via streaming, the Concacaf League returns to TV in the R16!

    ...for a brief cameo

Fox Sports is prioritizing its coverage of the u-20 Women's World Cup and TUDN the midweek matchdays in Liga MX. However, TUDN will show two games next week:

    Tuesday, August 23:

Tauro (PAN) vs. Sporting San Miguelito (PAN), 8:00 p.m.

    Thursday, August 25:

Olimpia (HON) vs. Municipal (GUA), 10:30 p.m.

Hilariously, XFinity's TV guide has Guatemala's Municipal confused with El Salvador's Municipal Limeño :ROFLMAO:

The Round of 16 finished this evening, and the Concacaf League decided to transition into the Central American Cup early :D

The quarterfinal matchups (first team listed hosts second leg):

    Tauro (PAN) vs. Motagua (HON)
    Olimpia (HON) vs. Diriangén (NCA)

    ---

Herediano (CRC) vs. Real España (HON)
LD Alajuelense (CRC) vs. Alianza (SLV)

    Great news, everyone:

This round, we (in the US) are getting more games on regular TV

The triple-header this Thursday, Tuesday's return leg between Alajuelense and Alianza, and the end legs next Thursday are all going to be shown on TUDN.
