    It's Derby time!

I want to start this thread by talking about our CL match vs M. City. The determination with which our boys played, the concentration, I want to see that for the full 90 minutes of every single match from here onwards.

Let's comfortably beat the smurfs and enjoy the the last international break before the World Cup.

Reus out with a nasty ankle twist.
This seems to turn into a cursed season pretty early.

I have to agree, a lot of our attacking was passing by Reus this year... I hope he's not out for the season.

Please get Modeste out before he gets a second yellow. He clearly went for blocking the ball and not the keeper but another situation like this and he may be gone.

Moukoko scores. Finally a good cross into the center. Hopefully Wolf wasn't offside.

Gio just missed a perfect opportunity to seal it...

Lets not squander the lead once again...

Terzic switches to a more defensive formation. I hope it doesn't backfire again.
As soon as space opened up for us, Adeyemi showed how good he can be for our game.

4 mins to go. No idea why injury time is longer now when there was this long injury delay in the first half.
It sucks we just cannot control the game and keep possession.

    WTH is wrong with Bayern?!?!
Is it Lewandowski who cursed them?!

They are +13 in goal differential more than twice the goals they allowed (13-6) yet only won 3 out of the first 7! That's crazy!

We are on top and scored 10 goals less than Bayern!! Hell we don't even have 10 goals yet sitting at 9!!

All that counts today is the win.
Expected goals 2.89 vs 0.11 and still we struggled until the last minute. I usually see good teams overperform in regards to their expected goals.
I hope Moukoko takes the positive out of scoring the winner in the derby. If he wants more of that, he needs to remain patient.

If we play with Modeste, we need to adjust for that. There is a reason why he can produce for Cologne but not for us when we should be able to provide more opportunities for him. One major reason is that our crosses and long balls are so bad. The question many here had before the season about how we would feed Haller turned out to be true and is still relevant.

Right now, I don't care about Bayern. They can play a 45+ points second half of the season with ease and we threw away a 9 point lead before.

Who knows. I'm just glad to see us taking advantage of Bayern's mishaps, which hasn't happened in a very long time.

Great to win the Derby, especially with Moukoko getting the winner, but it's a real blow losing Reus. A terrible blow. It's looking like he will be out for a while.

Medical exams are still coming, of course, but Terzic seemed confident that the injury isn't that bad when asked whether Reus would be out for like 6-8 weeks. So ideally maybe he'll only be out for a few weeks. At least I hope this wasn't bluffing for the coming opponents.

Well they scored 6 of those 13 goals in the opening game against Frankfurt which means they only scored 7 goals in the remaining 6 games which is on par with us pretty much.

If the match against M. City taught us anything, it's that Modeste works best in the role of advanced defensive midfielder.

This tells me that Terzic got the setup right, and we missed a lot of chances! Happy to see Moukoko score an important goal, to see Wolf with the assist, and to see Gio with the unlocking pass! Before that goal, we were pretty predictable in the 2nd half. Good win in a tough match.
