    This aged nicely.

We knew most of what we needed to know about him after our loss away to Atlanta in the playoffs.

Once again we grab an early 1-0 lead but then sit back and try to manage that.

Once again we let the opponent come back into the match and equalize.

But this time it gets even worse as we give up all 3 points in the 89th!

This kind of coaching drives me crazy!

I don't know why the coach is so afraid to keep playing and attacking.

https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/recap-inter-miami-cf-0-new-york-red-bulls-4 is titled "Recap: Inter Miami CF 0, New York Red Bulls 4." We dominated shots 27 to 2 and shots on target 9 to 1. It was our second win in twelve games, and we're still 7 points behind playoff position. As you may have guessed by me not posting in this forum, I haven't watched them in a long time.

Maybe, but not mathematically eliminated yet.

It was nice to see us dominate a game the way we did tonight. 27-2 shots. 9-1 on target. 4-0 goals. :D

And nice to see some people get on the score sheet like Fernandez and especially Fabio who scored with two wicked headers.

I know we escaped with a tie but what an awful performance. I won’t say the team is trash because they consistently are competitive in games but our offense IS garbage. What kind of strategy is it to boot the ball forward to players that never win aerial duels. Then they do diagonal crosses directly to a defender. Do they not even pressure the other team in their end anymore? Seems like we are really missing a player like Kaku. A midfielder that can at least hold the ball, make a good pass or is a scoring threat. Frankie Amaya doesn’t even get minutes anymore and we went out and got him? I hate NYCFC as much as the next guy but standing there in the upper deck, I thought 8 minutes extra time was ridiculous. I feel almost embarrassed how wild the celebrations were for tying a game after 8 minutes ET and up a man.

Also, City fans, for as many that were there, only cheer when they score.

Shiteh fans are plastic fans so no surprise.

The team as whole has been this bad since in like 10 years. It is a rough rebuild and hopefully we can have a good off-season and make some smart acquisitions. Is Amaya, the Sergio Galvin Rey?

I am in Buffalo so ESPN blacks me out.

I gave up trying to watch via the MSG app. I seem to spend 20 minutes trying to find the game. I don't have cable anymore so regular tv is not an option.

Wow, what a result! What a performance! What a pleasant surprise!

    Against the odds…

Taking 4 pts out of 6, from NYC in consecutive matches. Winning in the Bronx for the first time since 7-0 in 2016.

Fernandez, Duncan, Coronel all had a standout game.

Now only if Arsenal can do likewise in the morning, I can die a happy man.

    … and back down earth.

A somewhat anemic draw against Philly tonight l.

Actually that ain’t too shabby, given the opponent, but we coulda used more.

9 pts out of playoff spots with 8 games to go.

We desperately need to win some more matches plus get lucky with our direct rivals dropping points.

It’s not over yet, but it’s getting very close.

Clutch 3 pts tonight at Cincy. Gutman comes back to haunt them with a perfectly clinical finish.

We're 5 pts out of a playoff spot. We obviously have to go on a little run in our last 7 games.

    Do it!

Might as well hope and invest your emotions in trying for a playoff spot. For me personally, I want them to continue their playoff appearance streak. Also, for the younger players that will be sticking around in the near future, this is a good experience to be under pressure of must win games.

Apparently we played and beat Miami last night. My DVR missed it since it wasn’t on one of the usual channels. It was on Unimas??

Anyway given that it was against a Phil Neville team, it was 3pts we should be taking.

That puts us 3pts out of 7th place. Playoffs might be doable but we’re gonna have to win some games and hope other results fo our way.

The east is a beast. It's 5 pts between 3rd and 9th. We may be getting hot at the right time. Essentially we need to win out and a couple of people in front to drop points here and there and we are in. I don't want to believe but it is possible. Next game is the Citeh Yankees.

From here on out, every game is the “most important game of the year”. Please, no flat performances

I was at the game today. My first since covid.

Just starting to watch it back on dvr.

Fantastic start but not quite the game I was hoping for.

Casseres put in a BIG effort and probably deserves MOTM. Nealis continues to be solid.

But Coronel was just as important in getting us 3 pts. If the season ended today, he’d probably be my POTS.

Tied with NYC and 1pt out if playoffs. You gotta believe?

To be clear, my belief only go so far as getting to the playoffs… I have absolutely zero confidence we could get to the final.

So it’s a pride thing for me more than anything else, i.e. missing out on the playoffs

I agree. While I don’t believe we’d go to the final, I consider it a matter of pride that we continue our playoff streak. It also would help speed the development of the younger players to be put under the pressure of a late season push and possible playoff games.

I just finished watching it. WOW, the cardiac kids pull it off. And we're into the playoff spots for the first time this season?

Klimala missed near certain goal opps and Carmona had one too.

But lo and behold Sean Nealis steps up as CF and side-foot volleys in the game winner with 3 mins left in regulation.

Helluva match! Had the feel of a one-and-done playoff game.

    Any new believers out there?
