    FT 2-1 to Costa Rica

Very disappointing result. Costa Rica gets their first win.

Would’ve been nice to have been in third place for a moment

So we are down Narciso Orellana, Dennis Pineda (haha), and more importantly Dominguez. I don’t know how this squad will look against Mexico. They better grill Hugo over those subs, I also would refrain from calling Pineda until he shows me more than just fouling.

Reminding us all he’s a world class goalkeeper. Roldan made a very good shot.

This is happens when you play not to lose as opposed to win. Play to win and we're up 1 nil. Play to not lose and the only guarantee is you won't win. Now we have Mexico at home with important players missing.

This L is on Hugo sadly.

Doesn’t help that we lost our composure at times, like wtf was that Mario Gonzalez? Way to give away a PK.

Meantime Panama defeated USA and took the third place on the table. What should’ve been our spot if we won

Well Mexico has yet to lose so far Canada gave them the biggest scare of the bunch I’m not adding Jamaica to that list that team is very hard to gauge when you look at the results they’ve garnered.

When Miguel Montes was around he seem to be better than Navas. No clubs were interested in him then match fixing came along.

Well unless they don't fix their concentration, composure, and find a forward they're going to struggle to win matches. Rivas hasn't done anything since the Gold Cup and is been missing too many chances. Why not Moreno up forward instead of midfield? They really do need Bonilla and the downside is there's no player that can take his spot.

I remember the LigaMX and MLS rumours that never materialised.

Some people here claimed he was better than Memo Ochoa.

That was a ROUGH second half. The players looked like they didn’t wanna play tbh. Subs were atrocious as well. Gotta agree and think this was on Hugo, should’ve let the team run for a bit THEN make the subs (Jairo was for injury but still).
We gotta appeal that red card, that was bullshit.

If it's the federation. I think the fans need to protest through social media towards CONCACAF and FIFA to help clean up the federation and start from zero. This is been a huge problem since 1997.

We're not winning most matches but it doesn't mean long term we're not improving. Even when we had good coaches and getting decent results. Ruben, Roca, and Lara all their process were cut off and the federation treated them poorly and cut off their process. The federation's excuse they didn't have enough money to continue. Well how'd they end up affording the next coach?

After another year of coaching for Hugo, if he can make it through. He probably should be running charge for federation president.

I don’t think we will ever have a coach without creating a lot of unnecessary internal drama. Our media lives for it and fans the flames whenever they sense it. Lots of people that run the clubs and our players get caught up in it. Now Hugo has dived right in to it this will likely end with him resigning at some point

This comment would make so much sense if he was completely ignoring the local guys. Rugamas isn’t even getting consistent playing time anyways and also he should be embarrassed that nothing but foreign players have all the top scoring spots this season. Hugo is also opting abroad because the base of players for the team is coming mostly from one club that not just the FO is bitching but also that clubs fanbase.

I’ll just say it who’s fault is it that Alianza has essentially turned the rest of the league into its farm system this past decade? The saddest thing about this Alianza is being forced to use young players and they are ending up pretty good which further add to the detriment that these guys growths are being stunted horribly.

Ngl, the crumbling to Costa Rica really took away a lot of the confidence I had towards the Mexico game. It doesn’t help that neither Zavaleta nor Jairo will be available.

I don’t expect to win. I just hope we can take at least 1 point to make up for losing to Costa Rica.

I don’t think Hugo quits easily. While it will be a headache, he knows exactly how much bullshit it is to deal with Salvadorans and their league and knows how to play it (i.e. they have till the end of the week thing)

we’re out half our team. No Zavaleta, chicho, Domínguez, Rodríguez, Jairo. It’s gonna be tough.
