Wow. SKC/ORL... two goals waived off in one half because a shot was saved, and the player who jumped on the rebound was offside when the shot was taken. One needed VAR, one called in real time, both correct. Seeing it once is not all THAT rare, but seeing it twice this quickly is quite the oddity.
VAR has been used four times in this match. You never want to see the need for that, but all four plays were close in real time. All four reviews got the call right. And all four went rather quickly and efficiently. About the best you could hope for.

Interesting to see Brooke Mayo as the 4th official on the Nashville game. She is a FIFA AR. I wonder who would have gone into the middle if the referee had gone down.
Might have been the rare event where they gave the whistle to AR1 (Manikowski). They would not have been able to switch in the VAR during halftime as Radford doesn't have to pass the fitness test anymore. Mayo lives in the Nashville area so you can probably read between the lines on the assignment.
Three, right? The goal to no-goal at 13'. The goal to no-goal at 49'. And the no-goal to 79'. What is the fourth you're thinking of? Just brutally bad luck that all three happened on Nesbitt's end. The second one requires help from Dickerson and he probably just wasn't sure of that last attacker touch. The first one is unlucky--defender moving in the backward direction during the deflection made a very offside attacker look onside if you look half a second late. The third one is probably the only "bad" call but even that was close at two different points.
Idk if the assignment was here but the Galaxy v. NY Red Bull’s was quite a match. 6 goals in total. Chicharito had a hat-trick. 1 goal for Galaxy flagged offside and then reallowed with VAR. Wasn’t sure if the AR made a decision in real time. I saw 10 mins put on the board for stoppage time. Plus they played an additional minute on top of that for 11 total minutes. Talk about total playing time. To be fair that match had probably 5+ injuries, head injury protocols, substitutions and players cramping (chicharito).
Were too far into the VAR experience for people to still be asking if the AR made a decision. There is always an onfield decision. This was flagged as offside so how could the AR have not made a decision?
