posted this in the 20/21 forum. Seems more relevant here, as most have been mentioned. Here are some schools I would consider putting on there, just because the they were bad pre-covid. Not sure any of their contracts. Tulsa - Have been bottom of the conference last few years Miami - They can't get it right there Michigan State - I mean it has to be time Maryland - maybe not this year, but has to be coming College of Charleston - could be way better Akron - just never got it going Kentucky - just in over his head
Surprised MSU wouldn't look to go in a different direction altogether. They have underperformed for a few years now with most of their success coming against MidMajor programs.
Utah State open: https://utahstateaggies.com/news/20...-head-coach-heather-cairns-stepping-down.aspx Well funded, interested to see where they go from here.

Thank you. I noticed that the current coach is an interim coach. I am wondering if this is just the mandatory advertising and going through the motions, with the likelihood they will hire her as head coach, or if it is a true search. I never am sure, in this situation, whether to treat it as necessarily being a new coach coming in or not.
Hired in July 2019 Danny Free - Women's Soccer Coach - Nicholls State University Athletics (geauxcolonels.com)
Would be great for DT to get his D1 shot at Mizzou. Great coach and dude. Did well as the head at MSU-B (D2) and on staff at Wyoming, CU and now at Mizzou.
I see your point but they were 0-15-1 this year and since she’s been on staff (interim head and assistant, according to the website) they are 0-21-1 in the league and 3-29-2 overall. Let’s hope for the sake of college woso they are actually hiring.
https://uncabulldogs.com/news/2021/...m-womens-soccer-coaching-search-underway.aspx UNC Asheville now open as well.
Recruitment salary range: 40-46k ...not a great salary for cost of living there. Program isn't fully funded, either. Tough place to win, beautiful place to live.

isn’t a D1 head coach making less than 60k kind of a joke? Regardless of any camp income or the cost of living. I mean how committed is your head coach if they can just go be a school teacher for more money anytime? And Asheville, like many rural or Appalachian towns has tried to appeal to younger crowd and become more artsy and bring in things like brewpubs. I thought that town had kind of pulled it off. But honestly never been there. If you don’t have good paying jobs around, there are obviously limits. At 45k you’re either getting a rookie or retiree. That’s fine at the little D3s but in division 1?
