In a normal year, no idea. It's been too long since we qualified. In this year, doubt it. I would imagine there are more STH than there will be people allowed.
You are probably correct. I think the Cavaliers are allowed 2,720 fans, and that is inside. In two months, things could be much better if vaccinations keep increasing. Or much worse if the variants take over.
Moderna says the SA mutation will require a third shot, sort of a booster, if it becomes a problem. They have it ready for production. if needed. It will be an annoyance but shouldn't be a huge problem. Otherwise, the only question is how far down will the numbers have to be before DeSwine allows bigger public gatherings. Will we have to wait until new cases hit zero? If so forget it. Or will he gradually loosen up, say raising theimit from 1500 to 5000? We need answers and right now I don't think they have any.
MLS training camp updates, per source: Report dates are set for 2/24 and 3/1 for CCL and non-CCL teams, respectively.Players will undergo 7-day medical protocol before beginning any group training.— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) February 12, 2021 So do we need a 2021 preseason thread?
Will they be able to train at the new facility?? It looks like it is getting close to completion, and we know the sod had been laid before the snow hit. My guess is the snow will have an impact.
I'm assuming yes. The two fields nearest the training center use the same turf technology as in the new stadium. That is, heated, advanced drainage, etc. So if those are available, and they have the stadium's locker rooms to use while the training facility building is being completed, I don't see that they'd be missing much as compared to what they had at Obetz. I also assume they won't need to use it at all until they return from a pre-season camp in a warmer climate. I'm very curious whether the Mapfre turf/bubble will be in place by next off-season.
So the home game will be the week of April 14 vs Real Esteli. Safe to assume that Mapfre will have crowd restrictions for that game, but also safe to assume that we'd be lucky to sell 5000 tickets to that game in a normal year anyway. (Though the fact that it'll be the first home game for the MLS Cup champs might have sold a few extra otherwise.) Looks like if we can get past Real Esteli, we'd likely host Monterrey the week of April 28. Some Mexifans would surely be interested in showing up for that game, so with crowd restrictions it could be a bit of a hotter ticket.
I know this isn't necessarily the right thread but, one would think we need to fill a few roster spots (and RB depth?) before camp starts
I'm more than good with "Historic Crew Stadium" but I'm kind of surprised it's not Ohio Health Performance Center Stadium or some such.
Might be when they get the whole thing done.... Edit, or like what tOSU did with the official name of the Schott. "Historic Crew Stadium at the Ohio Health Performance Center"
This is certainly not anything official, but for CONCACAF to label it as such is cool. I agree though, I would like to see Historic Crew Stadium at the Ohio Health Performance Center
Is it something where CONCACAF doesn't allow sponsors names to be used? I believe most European stadia have non-corporate names that are used in international competitions. Red Bull Arena in Salzburg, Austria, for example, is referred to as Stadion Salzburg or Stadion Wals-Siezenheim for UEFA competitions.
I think that may just be a UEFA thing.. all the other games listed on the CONCACAF site include sponsors https://www.concacafchampionsleague.com/en/schedule-results#tab_team=rounds
Ticketmaster and LiveNation now list it as Historic Crew Stadium. https://www.livenation.com/venue/KovZpZAEe6AA/historic-crew-stadium-events
Anyone know what attendance will be permitted or if the team is including it in the season ticket package?
I am stoked that we are back in the CCL. More Crew games the better and it gives us the opportunity to see how us play some different teams
Yep. I just called the ticket office to ask a couple of pretty basic questions and it's not even open. Just a recording saying the merchandise shop is open Mon-Wed-Fri and to hit 1 if you're already a season ticket member. Trying that, the phone rings a lot of times then eventually goes to a recording asking for a detailed voicemail. Haven't heard from my ticket guy since midsummer last year. Does anyone know the answers to these questions? 1 Is the Real Esteli home match included in the season ticket package? 2 when do partial season ticket packages go on sale? My guess is the team doesn't know the answers to either question yet but they ought to have a FAQ up about attendance for 2021.
The answer to your first question is going to be no. There are more season tickets sold than the number of tickets available to the match.
