Depends on where Matheus Reis will play. If he's gonna be a CB I'd love a defense or Reis/Coates/St. Juste with Inacio having his rotation. If Matheus Is gonna be a LB then we probably need another signing.
Some rumours in Portugal and England that Man United have appeared as front runners for Gonçalo Inacio. We've pointed to the 45M euro clause but the rumour says United is willing to put forward 40M + 5M objectives for him which could be enough to take him. If true, and considering Feddal is likely gone too. We're gonna need 2 additional CBs beyond St. Juste.
Official: Welcome Jeremiah St. Juste! The defender moves from Mainz to Sporting CP on a 4 year contract and a 45M euro release clause. Fee is between 9.5-10M euros. Big signing, with Sevilla and Monaco reportedly after him, great movement by the club. Lets hope he pans out. FYI on Transfermarkt his value is estimated at 16M euros: https://www.transfermarkt.pt/jeremiah-st-juste/profil/spieler/288253 Official, confirmed. Jeremie St. Juste joins Sporting CP as new centre back on a permanent deal. €9.5m fee to Mainz. 🟢🤝 #transfers pic.twitter.com/7K5UsdL75F— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) May 11, 2022
More on this deal, the club communicated that Jeremiah St. Juste cost 9.5 million euros, which may increase in value by more than 2.5 million euros depending on the realization of various objectives, not specified. Mainz has 10% of a future sale, if this is greater than €12 million.
Sporting confirm the departure of Feddal. A rock at the back last year in our title run, this year hampered by injuries. Really curious to see how Marsa and Edu Quaresma play otherwise we need another CB, Probably as a backup.
Official: Pedro Porro signs for us until 2025! He will have a 45M euro release clause and cost 8.5M euros.
Excl: Sporting have reached full agreement to sign Mateo Tanlongo from Rosario Central. He’s joining in January, it will be sealed soon. 🚨🟢🇦🇷 #transfersArgentinian midfielder born in 2003 will sign long term deal with Sporting in the next days. 🛩🇵🇹Here we go. 🤝🏻 pic.twitter.com/UaG0oX9jqa— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) November 11, 2022 Fabrizio says we have a deal to sign 19 year old Argentine midfielder named Mateo Tanlongo from Rosario Central. Portuguese media confirming the imminent deal. Appears to be a defensive midfielder similar to Ugarte, whose contract expires in the summer and he apparently has rejected multiple offers of a new contract there. He has 29 appearances in the Argentina league this season for Rosario.
Mateo Tanlongo is in Lisbon already and expected to do his medical and sign a 5 year deal with us. His current deal expires December 31st so he will join on a free transfer.
Not a rumour (yet) but Fran Navarro with 8 goals in the league in 13 matches. 2nd in the league behind Gonçalo Ramos. We desperately need a striker, bring this guy aboard! Last time we saw a striker outside the big 3 scoring like this, we didn't sign Taremi...
It's been quiet here but some breaking news. Official: Head coach Ruben Amorim renews his contract until 2026. The president had already indicated publicly his intention to extend his contract, and now it's Official. Also. Amorim confirmed that RB Gonçalo Esteves will return to the club early from his loan spell where he only has 2 appearances this season.
Only makes sense the return of Esteves if Amorim is bold enough to get rid of useless Esgaio. Next season I want them to open space in the squad for Essugo and Mateus Fernandes to play permanently, with Bragança coming back from injury would mean them + Morita, Ugarte, Sotiris, 6 midfielders for 2 spots on the 11 means at least Ugarte needs to be sold. Or if we keep Ugarte get rid of Sotiris.
Good, it’s such a waste to have the kid on loan spell if he’s not going to play. With Porro’s durability, it doesn’t hurt to have options…. Especially better ones than Esgaio
CR7 Jr. Gonna play in Real Madrid's academy. Lol CR7 cares so much about SCP he doesn't even want to put him in the same academy he played in, and it's even named after him. Has he come inaugurate it yet?
Sarabia is disappointed at PSG and his playing time and is open to a return to Sporting, but any deal would be very difficult due to the salary involved.
Was playing FIFA as Sporting online versus some guy as PSG and felt a genuine sad twinge when they subbed him on. Would love him back, but we've not really got any bargaining chips to get the salary down
Understand Pedro Porro is top of the list for Tottenham as new right back. Spurs will try to sign Porro as player would be keen on the move. 🚨⚪️ #THFCIt’s difficult deal in January as Sporting have been very clear: €45m release clause or no way.Stance could change in June. pic.twitter.com/HDxsTdEEEJ— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 6, 2023
The salary increase would prob be HUGE…. And I’m guessing if he can show class in the EPL he is still young enough to move to one of the giants….
I know and if it was anyone else I'd agree but Porro seems to genuinely like being with us. Always involved in club stuff, always posting on social media etc... he knows and we know he won't stay forever but he could be a natural fit for Real or Barcelona who could use young Spanish full backs replacements.
Madrid badly needs a future RB and alternative to Carvajal. Porro would be a great addition for the attack. But his injury record is a big concern.
