Prime Slimani on last years team and we finish with 90+ points lol One of my favs of all time, watching him wash the tears out of his eyes walking off the pitch in that last game against Porto was gut wrenching. Dost being spoonfed in the box made the loss a little more palpable but we’ve been missing a striker of Slimani’s all around quality ever since. I remember that summer really wanting him to stay and being that staple up front like we had with Liedson all those years, but business is business and it was probably the right decision at the time. At 33 he obviously wouldn’t bring that now, but I’d gladly bring him back in a heartbeat. Him and his family always seem super enthusiastic at the prospect of returning but it never happens. Also why did he want to speak in English lol he speaks better Portuguese than me
