As far as recording local channels, is there a way to rig up an antenna to a DVR? It seems like there's so much emphasis on DVRs issued by the provider that I wonder if one can still buy a stand-alone TiVo or whatever. Or do all the kids just watch shows via the channel websites and apps? I thought that was one of those "authenticated" things, but I don't really watch a whole lot via websites, apps and all...it's really on a TV or not at all.

Why? Given the proliferation of local TV on non-cable services, the only reason for an antenna is for the increasingly-rare internet outage. You don't need a DVR attached to an antenna if you have a live-tv streaming service. Well, ok, you probably do. You're always the exception.

I just hope that her sense of humor is not compatible with Neil's, so we dont have to listen to the broadcast team go off on tangents about dumb s*** that has nothing to do with the game, the Crew, soccer, or sports in general, for half the match.
