Did the San Jose fans ever give Cincinnati fans the Anthony Precourt Memorial Wooden Spoon?

This sounds like something @don gagliardi might know about.

Recent posts involving a conversation about the USMNT and Steve Sampson were moved from this thread to the USMNT: The Berhalter Era pt 1 thread (starting at post #943, about halfway down page 38). Mainly for future reference.

    Carry on.

Grocery shopping in Middletown yesterday. Klosterman bakery bread had an ad for fc Cincinnati tickets on their wrapper. Single game tickets for $15 each! I am sticking with my Center Circle seats,at least until the 2021 season when the price goes up and I probably won't be able to afford them! Plus a tank of gas to get to and from!

    Whatever.

Pipa signed a one year, $100K contract with DC. Who knows if he'll play a minute for them in 2020. And he turns 36 in October.

Maybe Gonzalo will end up in DC. But I doubt that he'll "join" Pipa on the roster.

Looked at from another perspective, here's a story about Juventus wanting (or needing) to dump some big salaries to help its bottom line:

I would take Gonzalo if there were plans to move Zardes on. Other than that though, hes kind of surplus to needs.

I also could see Pipa returning to Columbus. Wasnt he pretty settled here? Not that that necessarily means anything, but I could see him coaching here as well as an assistant to Porter or an academy coach.

Am I the only one who's ok with DC throwing way too much money at another 35 year old forward?

This being FCC, and with the pandemic and all, the odds are low that Stam will still be the FCC coach the next time we host them in Columbus. Hell, they may be 2-3 coaches beyond him by then.

Even so, this just has to inspire a brilliant tifo design for that match.

So am I reading it right that Stam has had five years coaching experience, but with four teams?

Seems like the resume of a hugely successful guy.

He did have one good year at Reading. I imagine MLS' structure and FCC incompetence will be a difficult transition for him.
