There's a great interview with Pablo on one of last week's MLS ExtraTime podcasts. Very informative and good reminisces about his time as a player, coach and on the USMNT. Warshaw did the interview so it was more focused on player motivations, coaching decisions, etc. A couple of nuggets, he's still friends with Cronin and tells him often that agreeing to the trade was his worst decision as a coach. He also speaks very well of Gary Smith and how he motivated the team. Finally, a couple of interesting observations on the USMNT's midfield.

I was a little disappointed to not see Shinyashiki's snow classico goal that came at the death. Sure it wasn't the most "talented" strike in the world, but man....the emotions of that goal, and the timing of it. Down a man, down a goal, you're playing against last years cup contender, its blizzarding, and the rookie puts it away in the 94th minute. Heck, he even got something like 70% of the goal of the week nomination vote that week if I remember correctly I'm gonna remember that goal for a looong time. I honestly would have voted for it over Kei's bicycle kick if it was on the list.
