Canada 1 Angola 1 in '79. Canada has had a lot of wasted chances. This will come back to bite them.

 

This Ecuador manager is a fool. 83rd minute and finally made a sub after 10 minutes of his players looking dead. Their midfield is nonexistent right now because they’re dead tired.

 

Nigeria ties the match with a wonder strike. Not surprised at all. Ecuador’s manager should definitely be questioned.

 

Nigeria up 3-2. Ecuador still has only made 1 sub.

 

Of course Ecuador chokes their lead with 5 minutes left.

It’s in their DNA.

 

Angola scored in extra time 2-1. You can tell this isn't my first tournament as a Canadian supporter.

 

New Zealand looking decent 11 minutes in. Brazil had really good chance that was not taken, but New Zealand look good on the ball.

 

Brazil up 1-0 but their Right back was just red carded. Should be interesting to see how this match plays out now.

 

Absolutely blatant red too. I guess this must be his first experience with VAR.

 

Any info on how the temperatures and humidity are, in general the playing conditions?

Also, New Zealand gave up 2 goals after going up a man. This Brazil team is crazy good.

France is obliterating the South Koreans. They’re so dangerous at any stage of the game. The third one was scored on a swift and ruthless counter.

 

Senegal have wrapped up their 3-1 win over the Netherlands. The Dutch CB Bogarde received a red and will be out for the USA game.

 

Senegal make adjustments at halftime and dominate the second half of both their matches in this World Cup. Their manager is doing the job.

This was a great performance for this squad. Considering how good Japan is, a point is huge in terms of staying alive in the tournament.

For his part, Wicky changed the tactics completely and got a good result. Going into the third game with everything on the line is a great position for these kids.

 

Late goals for Paraguay against the Solomon Islands give them a 7-0 victory. Makes things interesting heading into the final matchday should Italy and Mexico draw, as Paraguay would have the goal difference advantage over Italy, at least.

 

And Spain blowing the doors off Tajikistan makes Cameroon’s defeat even more disappointing. Still a decent achievement for Tajikistan, though will have to keep the margin low against Argentina to have any chance to advance in third.

Odd that Tajikistan has now sent two teams to the U17 WC with modest success, yet doesn’t even have a senior team capable of qualifying for a 24-team Asian Cup.

 

If Mexico draws Italy they'll score as many as needed in the last game.

 

Mexico nearly with a good chance on Italy. So far going about the way all Italy matches go: you work hard, they let you work hard, then they counter and score 5 minutes before and after half, and it's over.

 

Pretty even match between Italy and Mexico. Italy has had a few more chances, but Mexico had a penalty saved. Mexico looks dangerous on the counter.

 

I feel like all the yutes at this tournament can't head the ball properly.

 

Mexico made to pay for that penalty miss by a 74th minute Italian goal.

 

And Argentina restoring normalcy by coming back from behind to lead against Cameroon, which is almost certainly going out in the groups.

EDIT: And just as I say that they equalize in the 78th minute lol. Although a draw may not do them too much good with Spain still to come.
