It certainly didn't matter that we'd previously pasted St. Vincent and Suriname before beating Costa Rica 4-0 at the U20's last year. You can't take a lot from beating a bad team by a lot of goals. If you struggle, maybe you should focus on the negatives. But if you don't struggle, like, say, scoring 5 goals in 30 minutes, I don't think you nitpick. Maybe you just want me to throw a fit for beating a bad team by a lot, but I just don't put enough stock into those games to do so.
I wonder if it's just that he can now play both spots but others don't have the speed to play wide so he plays wide. He has looked different for the US when they play him more centrally and being closer to goal he has goals and assists he doesn't when playing a foot on the chalk winger. Perhaps Dortmund hasn't given him a chance at his best spot because they have so many others that can play there. Will be interesting where Chelsea play him.
Pulisic lacks playmaking vision to play centrally as effective as the wing. That part of his game has regressed a lot since he's added speed.
