You are correct. My bad. I was thinking of last year when Forge played Olimpia.

Overcoming those 1 goal deficits seem a bit more achievable given where the second leg is taking place.

Side note.. How does this work? The MLS teams have already announced whether players are having their contracts for next season picked up. Are they playing only with their players on their roster after the announcement, or are there players that have been notified they won't be playing next season who will be playing in CCL?

Contracts go until December 31 as far as I know. Guys are still on their teams until then.

Does anyone know if away goals are still being used in the CCL quarterfinals? I see reports that they are.

How would that work? Is this an "away" game for NYCFC and Montreal since they already had home games? Could they get knocked out on away goals without ever playing an away game?

Is either team away in the LAFC-Cruz Azul game?

IMFC let players without 2021 contracts to choose if they wanted in or not. They all said they wanted out except Jackson, who might as well try and make a splash.

Diop might get drafted to Austin 2h before kickoff. He would be eligible to play for the Impact tonight.

Yeah.. It's going to be a mess for the MLS teams. NYCFC is missing the three players that tested positive, Alex Ring, and they'll be using their 3rd string GK since Sean Johnson is in quarantine and their 2nd string is a free agent.

OK, we're missing our goalkeeper, both DMs, Sands and Ring, our only striker, Heber, and 3 miscellaneous Covid-19 victims.

Dang. The tweet string I saw didn't list all the others. That's messed up,

Lol what a miss by Olympia -- Jerry Bengston, in fact. No surprise there.

For a player of Thierry Henry's caliber, this has to be hard to watch from his team.

Another GOLDEN chance for Montreal, and they can't score. Good grief. They do not wish to advance.

Fox Sports streaming is really glitchy.

During the first commercial break of halftime, I realized that the audio was ahead of the video by about 20 seconds, which is kind of hilarious.

Nice goal from a somewhat unlikely source.

Montreal, while not playing all that well, has spurned NUMEROUS great scoring opportunities in this game. Wow.
