Zinedine Zidane insists "nothing has changed" over Gareth Bale's future despite Marco Asensio injury => Madrid clearly has a plan for a new luxury player to replace Bale. If it is true, not a good news for Kubo or Rodrygo. They may face the same fate as Vinicius on the left side, Hazard is the marquee signing and there's no way Zidane would not favor him over the young player. It turns out the brightest future for Kubo is in the position right behind the CF, where Isco is also not Zidane's favorite. Well, that's in case Madrid plays with 4213. If they go with 433, Casemiro-Kross-Modric are carved in the stones. On the side note, Zidane's stubborn would play a huge role in Kubo's development. I only followed Madrid's training video for Kubo, but in all their internal training matches, Bale is the one with the most aggressive approach and have the most clean strikes. If Zidane hates him, his future is always bloom. On the other hand, Benzema always has space in starting line up no matter how average his training display is.
Wait, don't be so catastrophic. He missed the field but this match was jynxed from the very beginning with the red carded defender. When your team turn 1 man less so early and then conceded 2 goals the coach will choose to put in certain type of players and Kubo, a young technical offensive wonderkid, is not that type. Probably Zidane didn't want to lose this game at all and skip to put in to the fray the youngsters full of hopes for the more practical ones. Let's see what will happen this friday night in the Madrid derby. It's a pity Joao Felix will miss the match. It would be amazing watching him vs Kubo.
He's one of the most talented players of the planet, and I'm not surprised he's now in a big club. >>
What happened to Zidane? He fecked off Bale and now James too... This will turn good for Kubo in a way or another, let's see.
Anyway Twitter is unleashed upon Kubo. Last week, he was even better than Messi (lol) and now he's just a Youtube player who shines at training only. Football goes too fast.
great strike on goal by kubo at the end which led to a goal. Glad he got something positive out of it, but he had little chance to make an impact, hardly any time or possession
Mixed performance from Kubo Lost possession leading to 1~2 goals conceded A good shot causing troubles in penalty area leading to a goal
1154933417219448832 is not a valid tweet id Personally, I can't blame him for the goal conceded. Losing the ball is one thing (it happens everytime in every game), but the rest of the team had the right to stop the counter-attack too...
Didn't do much besides the shot, but he's not really playing in his best position. I think he's been pretty unlucky that the two games he's played in have had red cards so he's been shifted to the center because no one else can play there. I hope Zidane does not see him as a CM because he is not physical enough.
This match was crazy and only a mad man would say RM conceded a goal cuz of Kubo. Atletico could be easily on a 8 - 1 when Kubo entered the pitch, it's simply mindless give him any guilt. Feck off Twitter brainless geeks. On the contrary he performed a long pass and a long shot very interesting in the 30 minutes he played and let's add some BS to the other bs: with Kubo out RM lost 1 - 6, with Kubo in RM won 2 - 1 ;D
Zidane used Nacho as starting CB in 3 continuous games, benched Bale while their attack lacked directness, insisted on Kross in DMF while his physical is declining... I'm not surprised if he suddenly invents the idea of a CM Kubo I think Kubo, along with Vinicius and Rodrygo, are in difficult positions. They are too good for Castilla, not sure as ready for first team, even the coaches would have a headache managing them.
